To hate my Eufy?

MySugarBabyLove · 29/04/2023 12:58

I have been reading for years on here about the love for Eufy, how great it is, how it’s transformed people’s cleaning etc so I finally bit the bullet and bought one. And what a huge disappointmentt and waste of money it is.

I barely picks up anything, I hoover three times a week and still the eufy is absolutely shite.

So why the hype? I surely can’t be the only one?

Mine is great, could it be the model? I will say though that I do have to check the roller a lot as it does get full of hair and it has to be emptied each time

GretaGood · 29/04/2023 13:03

i was going to say go back to the shop but I suspect you bought it online.

MySugarBabyLove · 29/04/2023 13:10

It’s the top of the range model, reading online I’ve read that they’re fine assuming you don’t have much to actually pick up, but useless with animal hair etc. and it rarely actually makes its way back to the dock accurately, I generally have to put it back manually as it just shuffles about in the general vicinity.

Honestly I wish I hadn’t listened to the hype.

Yours sound like a dud! Mine is amazing

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 29/04/2023 13:15

Was it recommended on here? If so, that's why.

I bought a Shark for the same reason.

Pile of shit, I went back to Miele.

SkankingWombat · 29/04/2023 13:20

It hasn't been my experience. I love my Eufy! We have 2 furballs and 2 DCs with a penchant for sprinkling crumbs around like fairy dust. I'm always amazed at just how much it manages to pick up each day.
The only thing I would say is that it isn't as impressive on carpet, but that isn't such a problem for us as I don't want it upstairs (too many teeny Sylvanian bits scattered about in DCs rooms), and downstairs is hard floors throughout.

Iminthemoneylife · 29/04/2023 13:22

Sounds like it’s broken. I do use mine daily though. If she isn’t making it back to the docking station her docking sensors may need cleaning.

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2023 13:24

I love mine

Called Eddie

But if you aren't happy then return it

murasaki · 29/04/2023 13:31

@Blondeshavemorefun mine is called J Edgar, Jeddy for short

EasyAsNow · 29/04/2023 13:32

Ours is one of our best purchases ever. It’s amazing.

The fact yours doesn’t make it to dock sounds like there’s a fault with it. Take it back and swap for a new one!

Thedogscollar · 29/04/2023 13:35

I've never heard of a Eufy. Is it available in UK. I'm assuming it's a hoover?

Hugasauras · 29/04/2023 13:36

Sounds dodgy. Ours picks up loads including animal fur by the bucket! I hoovered every day before it arrived and on the first day it still picked up so much stuff I was shocked. Is his dust bin not full of stuff after he's been round?

Hugasauras · 29/04/2023 13:37

Also of it's a top of the range one it will have mapping so there's no reason it shouldn't make it home. Even my non top of the range Eufy without mapping makes it home, albeit in a haphazard fashion! We have a mapping Deebot downstairs and it gets directly home every time too.

Chenford · 29/04/2023 13:39

6 cats here. Ours is brilliant and we don’t have the issues you describe.

it’s never not redocked (although it can spend a bit of time looking for it)

I’d assume yours is faulty.

Basilthymerosemary · 29/04/2023 13:40

I love ours. We got one for upstairs and downstairs. Wouldn't be without them.

FlounderingFruitcake · 29/04/2023 13:42

Agree, had one and it was utter shite. Now we have the self emptying roomba which cost a bomb but is amazing.

CoronationArmy · 29/04/2023 13:45

I love mine. And it’s not top of the range. I come home to a hoovered house everyday. We do have he’d wood floors now and just a couple
of rugs, perhaps that makes the difference.

shysquirrel · 29/04/2023 13:49

I hate mine. Its always shouting "front bumper stuck!" It's not. I have to follow it round like a toddler

SunscreenCentral · 29/04/2023 13:50

I bought one too but found it ok.

However dealing with the roller brush was an absolute pain (not the eufy's fault especially). With 2 people here with long hair it was constantly snarled up. Personally I found getting the scissors out every 2nd time to un-clog it to be an unpleasant task.

It was also always getting trapped under the sofa.

Now I have a plug in Miele with bags that came with two heads (one without a roller brush) and cleaning is quick, simple, effective and thorough.

I use it once a week and sweep with a pan and brush the rest of the time

F1ymetothetoon · 29/04/2023 14:00

Oh I love my Eufy! He picks up so much stuff (3 fluffy cats and two long haired women in this house) and always manages to bumble his way back to his docking station. Sounds like you've got a dud one OP

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2023 14:08

I'm amazed I have any hair left as Eddie eats lots 😂

PinkFootstool · 29/04/2023 14:14

Strange as our Eufy coped great with 2 husky crosses and a long haired cat in a house where we leave the windows open 24/7.... It is full every day even now we've lost a dog and the cat.

Are you emptying it regularly? Cleaning the filters? Do the brushes need changing?

Deadpalm · 29/04/2023 14:19

It's a brand. It's also doorbell, smart appliances etc.
I am assuming this thread is about robot hoover

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 29/04/2023 14:21

Does anyone have a robot hoover which doesn’t mind fringed rugs( they are to large to me moved out of the way)?
