To hate my Eufy?

I have been reading for years on here about the love for Eufy, how great it is, how it’s transformed people’s cleaning etc so I finally bit the bullet and bought one. And what a huge disappointmentt and waste of money it is.

I barely picks up anything, I hoover three times a week and still the eufy is absolutely shite.

So why the hype? I surely can’t be the only one?

My Eufy, Rufus, is 6 years old and is used a minimum of once a day, twice on the weekend and he is amazing. We have an incredible shredding Springer Spaniel and his collection bin is always full. He keeps my floors much cleaner than I do. Unfortunately today, I think he might be dying as he's making a terrible noise while he works, even the DC's have come downstairs and said they think Rufus is ill. I'll be gutted when he does go, my house is absolutely much tidier because of his presence, I think probably because we learned to pick up and put away so things never got eaten up by him.

Ours is ok. Picks up quite a bit. I still use dyson upright once a week aswell though.

Mines also called Rufus 😍

Ruffie affectionately

Hope your Rufus recovers soon

That reads like ruffy

Roofie is his pet name. ❤️

My eufy, Meryl Sweep, is brilliant. One of my favourite gadgets especially since having a toddler. Yours sounds broken OP, get in contact with Eufy if it's still in warranty.

Our Eufy 11s Max is 2 years old and does a great job keeping the floors clean in our family of 4 plus 2 hairy dogs. It's on a timer to work every day and collects a surprising amount daily. The dust box has to be emptied every day as it's full.

AmytheDancingBrick · 30/04/2023 08:42

Ours is great - although we do have all tiled floors downstairs. I agree that with pets it needs to be emptied every day.

thelongroad · 30/04/2023 13:06

I bought one after reading the hype about it on here.
It honestly changed my life - it was not possible to stay on top of the hoovering with so many pets, now it just gets on with it while I do other stuff. It needs clearing out after every single vacuum and I am always astonished at how much it picks up. I was so impressed, I bought another for upstairs, and I'm seriously considering getting one for the lower ground floor too. As a pp mentioned, it helps with the general amount of pet hair floating around and getting onto everything too.
I love putting it on before going out, then coming back to a lovely clean house, it's done me the world of good.
I've had 2 problems with them, and Eufy have been super helpful both times and sent replacement parts free of charge.

Walrussy · 30/04/2023 13:25

I adore mine. I'm not particularly house-proud, and it very much has replaced the old vacuum in our house. Apart from stairs, I never hoover anymore. It deals admirably with hair from two large, shedding dogs and all the dirt they track in, and always finds the docking station - now we've bluetacked it in place (it used to knock it about sometimes).

YellowHatt · 30/04/2023 13:29

Gosh I’ll take it off your hands!

Could you see if you can return it?

Caspianberg · 30/04/2023 13:31

Ours is great. Yours sounds broken?

I mean of course it can’t do skirting or stairs, but I don’t do those daily. It’s just handy that every day it does a quick 30 min hoover of main downstairs to get rid of cat fur, toddler sand, Todder snack crumbs, random other bits. Means all main areas get clean, then I just hoover skirting or behind doors occasionally. Ours is full all the time, so pick up loads

bomanicious · 30/04/2023 13:40

We were amazed at how much our Eufy (Euphegenia Doubtfire) picked up the first time, and wondered how long it would take before we saw the amount reduce, what with being Eufied regularly.

Never. The answer is never, every fricking day the compartment is full. That's what an old house, two long haired women and a springer spaniel in the house does.

I think yours must be faulty

thefactsarefriendly · 30/04/2023 14:26

It was worth coming on the thread just to read the names.

Just adding my Roger to this post (Eufy G30, bought on offer at Argos). Mainly wooden and tiled floored house. OMG adjust love him, I was looking at them about four years ago and couldn’t justify the price but they’ve dropped considerably. It’s great and currently moping my wooden floors which normally DH would be choking at as he’d say I’d be using too much water.

took Roger upstairs today to hoover bathrooms and did think he didn’t do the middles well so put him on spot clean and then let him loose in our bedroom whilst I read mn posts. He will be moping them all tomorrow.

basically I’m following him round at the moment getting to understand how he works and what things I need to be careful off. Just browsing buying more mop heads and quite pleased they are not a silly price as I think I’ll need more. Definitely didn’t think the mop was anything more than a gimmick tbh but I’m well impressed at the moment.

Bestyearever2024 · 04/02/2024 17:23

Take it back for a refund. It sounds faulty

JerkintheMerkin · 04/02/2024 17:26

I thought you were talking about the Eufy doorbells Confused . As you were Grin

JMSA · 04/02/2024 17:42

I had a Eufy, used it twice, sold it on.
Not for me.
It's so much less hassle just to whip out the proper hoover!

brittanyfairies · 04/02/2024 18:34

How can it be less hassle to use the hoover? You literally set the Eufy off and sit down and MN with a cuppa. I love my Rufus, I've been saying for ages he's on his last legs, but the little bugger just keeps on going.

BrunhildefromDusseldorf · 04/02/2024 18:39

I love Cuddles. He picks loads up. He does get stuck quite a lot but wouldn't be without him.

So much quicker and easier, because if there's something on the floor (though I am generally very tidy), I can avoid it with the hoover. And as for cleaning out the dust box and removing hair from the brushes every time, no thanks.

I'll stick with my trusty Miele any day of the week.

Mynewnameis · 04/02/2024 19:29

Is it just me who thought you were talking about intimate body parts?
