Does anyone else iron all their clothes? Not daft things like socks and knickers but everything else including bedding?

i don’t love doing it but I just can’t bear the look of unironed clothes (especially for DC)

is anyone else like this? am I mad?

Yes, you probably could. But you personally prioritise other things, which is obviously fine. So that’s the answer to your much repeated question of how does anyone find time - most people prioritise it. No need for insulting my comprehension and suggesting I won’t be able to be a teacher just because I suggested that you actually could find time to iron, you just don’t think it’s that important. Which is obviously fine.

Just catching up on this, and I take back my comments which seemed to doubt your teacher training potential. You seem to have the teacher tone sorted in any case!

At the risk of flogging a dead horse, I’ll just reiterate that there’s no way you could possibly have known if I can actually fit in ironing or if anyone else on the thread can fit it in; you just don’t know. So your ‘yes, you see I was right’ approach is a bit wide of the mark.

Some people really are too busy. I’ve admitted that that probably doesn’t apply to me (because that was muddying the water, what with my being a teacher and all…) but it certainly will apply to some people. That’s all I was trying to suggest; with some of us, it’s time we can ill afford, but with others it will be time they definitely can’t afford.

Again
It's not they are "too busy" they do NOT prioritise it.

You would never say that someone is too busy to ever do the dishes. It may pile up but they will eventually get done. It's all about priorities.

Incidentally, I know a couple who are both teachers with a SEN child and a parent they care for. They still manage to iron.. because they prioritise differently to you.

neither of you are wrong.
