To think this looks awful?! Grazing table....

Posted by a local pub for an event ..... wouldn't be able to eat a thing if I was going! All those hands in there, not to mention how far over you'd have to lean to get to the food in the middle and the worst bit? This will sit there for at least 12 hours before the event which is surely not within food hygiene regulations and it will taste awful!

Clearly, they're a bit basic with their ideas. How would the protect against flies?
I certainly wouldn't want to eat it. It's like something you put out for pigs.

These things turn my stomach. I’m not bothered about germs, home buffet stuff will be left out for a few hours and I wouldn’t bay an eyelid about eating it.
For me it’s the fact that all the food is touching 🤢 pretzel bits pushed right up against cucumber? What sense does that make?? Biting into a soggy cucumbery bit of pretzel 🤢 I hate wet food and dry foods touching! Anything that can permeate something that is meant to be a single flavour… I’m weird though.

I also think with these things that none of the food looks very substantial. Loads of carrots, cucumbers, grapes, blueberries and slices of prosciutto / Parma ham. It just doesn’t look very much at all. They also look terrible once say 10 people have been up, it’s all been poked about and rearranged.

Its funny isn't it. Why is this so awful, but if it had all been on individual plates it would have been fine, and even inviting!

Actually it may not have been out that long....the grammar on the post implies it is happening tomorrow but another post says it happened today. Who knows. Either way....I wouldn't touch it if it was fresh out of the fridge unless I was first at it!

Um....then it's not a picture of the actual food, just their standard pic to represent a grazing table. Still gross but be fair, they don't leave it sitting there.

It’s all the handling by the “cook”, of the food which makes me want to puke.

Firstly the “cook” has put the ham over there next to the tomatoes then realised it would look better next to the sausage rolls. So someone has picked up that ham again and moved it. God knows how many times that ham has been handled before it all looks ok!

The grazing table is the most stupidest idea ever invented! Its gross, it's unhygienic and just wrong on all levels. I'm fussy with my food and feck knows where people's hands have been. Its a big, fat NO from me on that one!
