To be so bloody happy to have another BOY on the way

Lighthearted thread

But I see so many threads with gender disappointment towards having a boy

My reasons for being over the moon for DS#2 in my tummy....,,

I will remain queen of my house (bar the dogs!)
Boys adore their mummies
Less emotions to manage
Less pink and glitter hopefully 🤣
Brothers
Dirty knees and climbing trees and rough and tumble

I'm just here for it all

What are your reasons if you love being a boy mum like me?

OP posts:
ItsNotFood · 27/04/2023 22:05

So typical all the posters moaning that they have girls who do all that so why is it good to be please to have a boy..

congratulations OP. Enjoy your wonderful boys and screw all the posters who are up in arms over “gender stereotypes”, you’re right, so many posts are about people disappointed they are having boys. What a refreshing change

fruitypancake · 27/04/2023 22:12

Love love love having my 2 boys .. congratulations OP 💙💙

LightBlueKettle · 27/04/2023 22:20

Got to be the most bizarre thing I've read on here in ages.

I still can’t get over “queen of my house” tbh. Makes it sound like having a girl turns everything into Game of Thrones. What do the boy infants do, worship you on your throne?

Just no.

It’s always boy mums using the twee words like “mummies” and “tummy” as well. Makes me want to heave.

MadMadaMim · 27/04/2023 22:33

How old are you? Your views on sex/gender/traits/character seem extremely antiquated and warped!

DDs have just as special relationships with their mums.

I'm one of 4, 3 girls and a boy. The girls were all about tree climbing, risk taking, rough and tumble (ie fighting, getting physical, bloody noses and blanc eyes!). My brother was all about the role playing, the tea party, the dressing up, the glitter. We all have balanced emotions with a generous portion of drama.

ILoveEYFS · 27/04/2023 22:36

4 DSs and 5 DGS. No DD and no DGD Boys are definitely best 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

And now we know how all those toxic misogynistic men are made!

This!!!! Hope she posts again when she is Mother in law!

  1. That's a ridiculous statement neither is best.
  2. If one sex was the best how would you know it's not girls if your only experience is 9 boys.

Neither are trans, gay or ND. Perfectly normal young men. erm what now?

I have a boy who acts like a girl, and a girl who acts like a boy. Since doctors said I would never be able to have children, I am just glad they are here. Congratulations on your family,

They act like themselves and that's how it should be x

Oh come on it's obvious what she means, she's the only girl in the house. I'm the only girl in my house and to be honest, I quite like it. I get special treatment and one day there will be lots of big men and only little me, and I look forward to that. So shoot me!!
Nothing wrong with being positive about your own situation.

@Peppadog can I ask what you mean by special treatment?

Only little you… My MIL loved being the only woman and now struggles that they are all married.

That’s one of the most genuinely tragic things I’ve ever read on here.

wentworthinmate · 27/04/2023 23:04

I am a boy mummy and for that I am truly grateful. Girls voices are so whiny. They just give me a headache.

Ha, you don't read much then. Except we know it's not, and you're just being a dick for the sake of it, but that's fine, I don't give a fuck what you think.

So weird 'big men and little me' Are you a girl or a woman?

I KNEW someone was going to point that out 🤣 I almost did an extra post to clarify but thought better of it. God I've been here tooo long, it's like bingo.
I wrote 'girl' because I was refering to the OPs post where she wrote girl, and when including children in the post, it wouldn't make sense to write woman. I should have written female.... Sigh... we live and learn.

OMG some of the posts from 'boy mummies' on here are farcical. 'I wubz being an iccle gurrrl in a house full of big menz protecting iccle me,' and 'girlies are so whiny,' and 'my boys are so big and bwave and don't like pink and glitter and unicorns and dolphins, thank GOD!' and I have '4 sons and 5 grandsons. And BOYS IZ DA BEST I tellz ya, gurlz are yukky!!!!'

Seriously. some posters here sound about 5.

I have filled my sick bowl twice over reading this crap. You never get mums of girls banging on about how sooooo much better girls are than boys, with a list of farcical stereotypical shit to 'back up' their reasoning.

I am actually embarrassed for you all - and any negative and judgy things that HAVE been said about some of the tacky, sickly, twee, naff, 'boys-is best-so there' boy mummies is well-deserved.

Obviously a FEW boy mums are perfectly OK, but the majority on here are cringe! I have never seen such a shitshow of mummies SO desperate to try and convince themselves - and other people - that they never wanted a girl. They don't realise this, but the desperation (from many 'boy mums' on here,) to want a daughter is breathtaking. And that includes the OP.

Us mums who have DAUGHTERS can see it, as we have had this shit in real life for YEARS. Snarky little boy mummies making snide comments about girls, and throwing shade on them, and saying 'BOYS ARE THE BEST!!! When everyone knows deep down. they have always been desperate for a daughter.

Harls1969 · 28/04/2023 00:03

YANBU to be over the moon. Congratulations. Although my DD has always been a mummy's girl and DS is far more emotional than her, especially when puberty came to call 😂

This can't have come from an adult...wtf?
