O2, giffgaff and virgin mobile all went off here. I’d forgotten all about it, and was driving and it freaked me out!

icanneverthinkofnc · 23/04/2023 15:29

Mine did, DHs phone didn't

ChocChipHandbag · 23/04/2023 15:30

I on Three. Up to date iPhone, all enabled, turned in.

Didn't get it. Nothing in my notifications. Are we supposed to report this somewhere?

Yes at 14:59 to be precise nearly shat myself.

Same here. was engrossed helping child with their homework. But, all 4 phones at home went off.

Can't wait to hear if eldest'd did as they were on a DofE hike and their teachers had majority of their phones (allowed 1 per group for emergencies only).

ThinWomansBrain · 23/04/2023 15:30

from here and twitter, seems to be a problem with the three network
you can report here
Emergency Alerts national test survey (publishing.service.gov.uk)

suggest you only report if you didn't get it - let them think it's really f'd up

crisscross87 · 23/04/2023 15:30

3 phones, all enabled, no alerts. (Three Network, South East England)

Corkcobain · 23/04/2023 15:30

Nothing for me but my mum was visiting and sat on the other end of my sofa and hers went off 🤷

MamaNolan · 23/04/2023 15:30

JustKeepSlimming · 23/04/2023 15:19

DH and I both got it (we're both on Sky and have iPhone 7s). I got it 2 minutes before him, though, which is good, because my first move in any emergency would be to ditch DH (he's lovely, but absolutely useless in a crisis).

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

nzborn · 23/04/2023 15:30

nope

SpikyHatePotato · 23/04/2023 15:21

Android on EE, didn't get it. I'm in Scotland and tend to be on wifi calling but there is 4g here.

Mine did, south England

SpeedSnap · 23/04/2023 15:31

My old phone went off, charged up for the experiment.

I had to change settings on my new phone. I had not switched the alert off myself, once I changed settings it went off also.

GeorgeGerald · 23/04/2023 15:31

Yes, all three phones went off at 1459

Changechangechanging · 23/04/2023 15:31

Hmm…so checked my phone, emergency alerts are on and it’s a new-Ish phone (less than 12 months old). Am on virgin mobile which piggy backs on 3 so it looks like 3 is the problem?

Oopsididitagaintomorrow · 23/04/2023 15:32

Was at a family dinner, about 15 of us in total. We were talking about the alarm before we sat down for food, about 15 minutes later we all jumped when 15 alerts went off 😂
A mixture of iphones and androids and all received the alert and message with no issue.

mamatravels · 23/04/2023 15:32

Three out of five phones got an alert here.. Different models on different networks

frustratednomad · 23/04/2023 15:32

DH's work phone (vodaphone) went off, none of our personal phones (3) did.

Oopsididitagaintomorrow · 23/04/2023 15:33

@Changechangechanging 5 of us are with 3 (mixture of iPhone and android) and all received the alert with no issue?

It's not the best survey. It only asks you if you got the alert or not, doesn't ask you what network you're on.

JanglyBeads · 23/04/2023 15:33

BBC knows there were problems

so, did your phone receive the alert? If it was turned on and enabled?
englishsparklingwine · 23/04/2023 15:33

I got it twice - once at 2:59 and then again at 3:20... 2 people in our house didn't get it, and one got it once at 3pm.

SheikYerboutiii · 23/04/2023 15:34

Another thread about this? Oh it’s you. I see.

mumof31968 · 23/04/2023 15:34

Got mine at 3:02

slowquickstep · 23/04/2023 15:34

Really bad network coverage here but it came through twice

Löwenstein · 23/04/2023 15:34

tweener · 23/04/2023 15:09

Switched on, alerts enabled. No alert here, two phones in the house.

Same here 😶

BigButtons · 23/04/2023 15:35

Was standing next to a friend at the time. He got one. I didn’t.
