How would you feel after 3 cocktails and a beer?

I've not had this much to drink for a while (guessing the cocktails were actually bloody strong, I'm wondering if they had 2 shots each?) and my god I can feel it mentally! Obviously alcohol is a depressant, but I'm not depressed, just a really distinctive feeling - almost like the alcohol puts a filter on my general mood?

Drank about a litre of water last night before sleeping, so no headache and didn't feel sick, although worried last night that I'd be sick as a dog this morning. But nope! Physically all good, yet mentally just noticeably different.

It was only supposed to be two cocktails but the barman gave us a freebie, and I really should know better than to drink something cos it's free

How would you feel, physically and mentally, after drinking this sort of amount?

I am just home after a bottomless brunch for mate’s birthday

Had several “cocktails” in the venue (supposed to be alcoholic but they are pretty weak, tbh). I did hold back a bit compared to others like I always do

Then went on to another place for a drink and a dance. Had two further “proper” cocktails and I am merry now

if I take a pint of water and 2 paracetamol to bed I will be fine in the morning though

I haven't seen a Long Island Iced Tea on a cocktail menu in yonks. They seem a bit uncool retro, along with a Slow Comfortable Screw and all those other naffly named ones.

I would feel the life and soul of the party - happy BUT I would then be changing to non alcoholic drinks as that would be my limit and I'd feel really rubbish the next day . That is pretty much my maximum alcohol limit - drunk on a few nights out a year only .

I'm not a depressive drinker and no longer drink until I'm sick or sleepy .

What kind of cocktails only have one shot in? Sounds more like a single and mixer tbh.

I'd feel anxious and generally not quite right the next day. My limit would be two cocktails as I don't want a wasted day.

Probably fine. If anything cocktail don't do anything for me became most of it isn't alcohol. Even 4 wines probably wouldn't do anything.

I'd be feeling very drunk - a cocktail is usually 2-3 drinks in one and the beer would be a bad mix for me too!

Gin, some kind of apricot liqueur thing, orange bitters and I think lemon juice perhaps?

That was one. The other kind we had was something like an old fashioned, but with some variation that made it different, I forget the exact ingredients.

Probably relaxed, I have quite a high tolerance for alcohol.

I can count on one hand how many events in my life I’ve been to where I’ve drunk alcohol. I’m just not an alcohol fan. I don’t like beer, wine or spirits.

In a word: "buggered". That'd be me done for the night. I’m a fairly heavy drinker but mixing would have me done for the night.

On the night I would be pretty drunk and enjoy myself, but I would spend the next day in shame and regret, obsessively going over every interaction I had with anyone and worrying people would hate me.
However, I do that when I am sober too -this is why I don't socialise much.

Three cocktails would be my nice spot, one more over that and I’d be on the floor. My tolerance is low as I’ve lost a lot of weight and am on medication.

Oh and the day after, fine, I’ve never had a hang over

Mildly buzzed. If I had a glass of water before bed and a reasonable night’s sleep, I’d be pretty much unscathed in the morning.

Over the last few years those drinks would have made me feel flat the next day, any more and I'd be really bad.

I have recently stopped drinking all together, the bad affects were out stripping the good on any rare night I had a few drinks.

No judgement here, I spent yesterday vowing never to drink again, ate my fridge, and felt like shit on a stick due to alcohol consumption Friday night and I have never been so happy to go to bed last night, but I am fascinated by the sheer volume of your list...

I reckon I had one bottle of beer, and most of a bottle of prosecco and 2 shots...

I felt sick just reading that 🤮
