Would you give away your pet for a million pounds?

Hypothetically.
If somebody knocked on my door right now and offered to re-home my cat for a million pounds, I just don't think I could do it. Even though that would be a completely life-changing amount of money for me. Could you?

No.

sobeyondthehills · 18/04/2023 19:02

I have a DP, a DS, a cat and a dog and depending on the time they knocked, they probably be offered one of them at least

LadyVictoriaSponge · 18/04/2023 19:02

No absolutely not, not even 10 million, my dog is priceless I could never voluntarily give her up, no amount of money could persuade me to not only break my heart, but shatter my dogs heart as well, she can’t cope without me.

hiredandsqueak · 18/04/2023 19:03

If I listened to my head probably but my heart would say never. She would be heartbroken as would my dc and I love the old girl even when she drives me mad tbh.

afterdropshock · 18/04/2023 19:03

Gladly. For a lot less. I am not attached to them but the kids are.

Porkandbeans1 · 18/04/2023 19:03

No, I'd rather sell the DC or DH.

Bojosfringe · 18/04/2023 19:04

Yes.

Icequeen01 · 18/04/2023 19:05

No way!

SomeRolyPolyLittleBatFacedGirl · 18/04/2023 19:05

Depends which one. None of them really like me or appreciate me or would particularly care they were living somewhere else.

TheBugWife · 18/04/2023 19:05

I'd sell my kids for that!

CleverLilViper · 18/04/2023 19:06

Not for all the money in the world. Some people, however, I could come to a suitable arrangement for, though.

DramaAlpaca · 18/04/2023 19:06

Current dog, no way.

Previous dog, probably.

Mumoftwoinprimary · 18/04/2023 19:07

I don’t have any pets.

We do have ants though. Could I say that they are my pets and still get my million?

Coolhwip · 18/04/2023 19:07

Yes. And any non rich person saying they wouldn’t is telling porkies!

Motorcyclemptiness · 18/04/2023 19:07

LoobyDop · 18/04/2023 18:39

Not for any amount. There are some relatives we could come to an arrangement on, though.

Defo this!😂

redyellowpinkbluegreen · 18/04/2023 19:07

I would. My husband wouldn't

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 18/04/2023 19:07

They can have dh for a bag of sweeties.

Atethehalloweenchocs · 18/04/2023 19:08

Today you can have the lot of them for a fiver. But usually, no.

Soproudoflionesses · 18/04/2023 19:08

Yep.
Would cheer myself up with a holiday

SemperIdem · 18/04/2023 19:09

Yes. I’d probably give up my grandmother for a million pounds, to be honest.

Precipice · 18/04/2023 19:09

You don't think that the level of attachment people have towards their pets varies? You might not, but there are people who see the pet as 'part of the family'.

That’s rubbish, there are ‘poor people’ who live in their cars because they can’t find accommodation that will take their pets, there was a poster not long ago on here who was doing just that.

Yes, but my cat is a dick. A much loved dick but still a dick.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 18/04/2023 19:13
