Ok I'm only considering it as I'm really worried about money - with interest rates increasing, my ex's payments coming to an end and all other costs sky rocketing as well as ds and dd needing more, i'm going to have at least £1,500 less and I'm I'm going to start getting into debt.

I'm only thinking non- sexual escorting , companionship or a plus one for corporate function. I've seen adverts but don't know if people would really pay If it's not sex.

Does anyone have an experience? Failing that any suggestions?

I work full time, so anything else would have to be evenings.

"This poster has a friend who does non-sexual escorting work. Her customers are gay men who want to hide their homosexuality by taking a woman to events.

HTH"

That posters friend is full of shit 😅. She hasn't got several gay Asian older blokes paying her to go to events. Utter bullshit. Some people are so naive.

Children are 14 and 17 ex took money off shore left me with little - long story.
Dd is driving and I want to be able to contribute. She’s works weekends too as is a student.

Yeah getting paid for companionship did seem unrealistic tbh.

Your ex is a complete shit to dump you in it financially at just the age when his kids are costing the most. And £1,500 a month net is a big gap to bridge.

Can you downsize or move to a cheaper area to reduce outgoings?

Xarrie · 10/04/2023 13:20

Ask your teen if she wants you to go on the game to pay for her driving lessons. Odds are that she'll say no

Join the £10 a day thread on here, some great ideas to make a bit extra.

It’s illegal for an agency to advertise that their “service providers” offer sexual services: to do so would be effectively pimping or brothel keeping, both of which are crimes. They get around the law by pretending that their providers only offer company and nice chats to clients, and anything else that takes place is purely voluntary and negotiated without the angency’s involvement. The “anything else” is expected 99.9% of the time, and no agency would keep you on their books once a client complained you’d refused to provide sex.

Your DC are young adults. They can get bar or retail work like other young adults, if they want driving lessons.

This - it’s a way of getting around the laws against acting as a procurer.

The agency provides ‘companionship’ only (legal) and it’s up to the escort to privately negotiate any additional sexual services (also legal for a prostitute acting on her own).

There may be the odd actual non-sexual job but they will be rare and an escort who gets complaints about not being ‘friendly’ (i.e. not providing sex) will soon be fired.

monsteramunch · 10/04/2023 13:22

I would have been beyond gutted if my parent did this to pay for things like my driving lessons, I would have felt so incredibly guilty. Please don't do it OP.

Lastnamedidntstick · 10/04/2023 13:23

Why is your ex stopping payments when your children are still minors?

THisbackwithavengeance · 10/04/2023 13:30

I'm always bemused by the people on Only Fans who claim to earn £squillion per month by showing their feet or something.

Are men genuinely that stupid?

You could offer a niche sexual service, OP?

I'm old and fat and could do that thing where you roll on men for example.

Seriously, get a job in a pub? My SIL does care work for an agency as a side hustle to her pension and earns surprisingly good money.

THisbackwithavengeance · 10/04/2023 13:34

How about naked cleaning? I read somewhere that the clients prefer older, fatter, "normal" women rather than glam models?

I have seriously considered it!

dottiedodah · 10/04/2023 13:35

Well I didnt pass my test until I was 32 and more recently my DS passed at 23! (At Uni)17 is a minimum age level to learn to drive ,not an unwritten law you know! Care work shifts may be possible perhaps.Or DD gets a little job ?Some sort of homeworking ,a different job at the weekends.Being an Escort is another word for prostitution simple as .How would you feel if DC realised what you had been doing?

Grapewrath · 10/04/2023 13:41

I’m not sure OPits rare to have a non sexual escort. They tend to be supermodels with a certain background and level of education.
Have you considered only fans? Theees stuff on there you can do anon and a lot of money to be made

shejokes11 · 10/04/2023 13:41

Apologies and no offence no matter how many times a old miserable man groped you and forced himself on you which is probs gna b alot of times. You will still not make £1500 a month. Non sexual aswell you are looking for sugar baby jobs

HRTQueen · 10/04/2023 13:44

ComtesseDeSpair · 09/04/2023 23:54

Non sexual escorting doesn’t exist. Whatever you read, unless you’re a 10/10 swimwear model (and unlikely even then) no man is going to pay you just to come and be seen out with him.

If you have evenings free then office cleaning actually pays reasonably well.

^

ive worked with many ex sex workers quite a few were promised by agencies to just be set up as escorts

Can 14 year olds work in bars…?

2bazookas · 10/04/2023 13:59

They say "non sexual " to avoid prosecution for procurement.
The client hiring an "escort" pays for the date, plus by the hour for the escort.
Notice, if the "client" wants you to "stay longer" they advise you to negotiate the extra payment yourself.

IF you think this is non-sexual, then are you prepared to spend hours "being a companion" a strange man who pays you to be pleasant and amusing? However smelly, drunk, high, unpleasant he is.

Presumably he couldn't get a free date with women who know him.

2bazookas · 10/04/2023 14:02

If you think this business is legit, then your 17 yr old daughter is probably more highly marketable as an escort. She could earn her own driving lessons (and a car).

Saniflo · 10/04/2023 14:10

The age isn't an issue. I have a friend in her 40s who is an escort and she charges £350 an hour. She made £200k last year. Look on adultwork.co.uk there are loads of different ages on there.

Yorkshirelass04 · 10/04/2023 14:12

So you'd hang out with grubby men and possibly more for some driving lessons for your daughter? Come on.!

Iam4eels · 10/04/2023 14:26

Escorts are basically just agency prostitutes, sex is expected and you won't get any bookings once it becomes clear you're not willing to do that. If you want to see the calibre of men who use escorts then have a look on the UK Punting website, it is chillingly eye-opening how they talk about the women they're renting.

parissyndrome · 10/04/2023 14:34

Faceless Onlyfans, or selling used underwear etc - physically safer and more anonymous

Greenfairydust · 10/04/2023 14:44

OP there is no such thing as ''non sexual escorting''.

Of course the agencies can't openly advertise that they are setting up sexual encounters/looking for prostitutes...

To get around this they will just tell you that they will set up the booking and you can agree to whatever you are comfortable with the ''client''. The men will be expecting sex of course and you won't get further bookings once they hear that you are providing that ''service''.

If you want to get involved in the sex industry look at big strip/table dancing clubs. At least there is no sexual contact with the men there and you will have security guards on site. Their licence depends on the fact that no sexual activities take place in the clubs.

Or become of professional dominatrix as again they don't have sex with their clients!

chipndip · 10/04/2023 14:55

I'm an escort, there's no such thing as non-sexual escorting.

ShowUs · 10/04/2023 15:02

What do you work as?
Is there no way to get extra hours?

If not get a second job by cleaning, babysitting, waitressing etc.
These are much easier than escorting.

As a PP said paying for sex is illegal and they’re not going to advertise it in that way.

These men aren’t some George Cloonies who are handsome, respectful and rich.

They are either single and there’s a very good reason why they are.
Or they’re in a relationship but have kinks that they can only have satisfied by paying for it.
These are not the sort of men who you want to be around.

FWIW I am a single parent with no help from the dad and I manage so it definitely can be done.
Maybe write down your current salary and outgoings and we can help you that way.
