Does anyone go there anymore? 😉

Well considering its always fully booked on dates that I look I'd say yes 🤣

HighInfidelity · 01/04/2023 01:29

Is the winky face because you want to ask about anal sex? I don’t go to Center Parcs in either meaning of the question.

CeriB82 · 01/04/2023 06:33

Yes.

why?

BendingSpoons · 01/04/2023 06:35

No, it's too expensive. However some people must feel the 'perks' are worth the cost!

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 01/04/2023 06:37

Used to go but now can’t afford it because £1500 is a lot for 3 days in a swimming pool.

Surely that would be Buttlins?

rockingbird · 01/04/2023 06:49

We used to go every year in April, it became too expensive and just not worth the money! It actually gets boring once you've done it 10+ times.. the French alternatives are far better value and a fraction of the price!

Boomerangs · 01/04/2023 07:13

we go at least once a year have done for last 6 years
it has got really expensive though and difficult to justify sometimes, but I do like the quality / cleanliness of everything it offers - it is far superior to other holiday parks e.g butlins

Elcapitano · 01/04/2023 07:32

@TwoLeftSocksWithHoles 😂😂😂

mamnotmum · 01/04/2023 07:32

We are going 14-17 April. The kids miss 1 day of school but so much cheaper than going fully in the hols

It's far too expensive for what it is. But the kids love it.

SellFridges · 01/04/2023 07:35

I went last year with some friends. Very good value for a weekend away tbh.

We’re taking the kids after Christmas - we have a full week after NYE before they’re back at school this time and I struggle to fill the time as we have a small family. Kids adore it.

twigy100 · 01/04/2023 07:59

We went for the first time as a family last month and booked to go back in November and March next year. Cost £350 mon- Fri as a family of 3, we loved it with our toddler plenty to see and do but I couldn't pay those costs in school holidays

What are the French alternatives please?

Tilllly · 01/04/2023 08:10

Hadn't been for years cos school hols were so expensive
But went last January and have booked for next January
But we didn't book expensive activities

ilovewispas · 01/04/2023 08:22

I'm going next week so, yes!

AnotherCountryMummy · 01/04/2023 08:30

We went in February half term. Very good but probably could have had two weeks in the carribean for the same price.

Seashor · 01/04/2023 08:38

We go every year and I pay for us all to stay in a tree house. It does cost me quite a bit but I absolutely love the time with my family and a close friend. We use the Aqua Sana too.

The accommodation really suits us and we hire a chef to cook. I just see it as hiring a holiday cottage .

It really is each to their own. I’m not fussed about traveling abroad and for me this is the perfect getaway.

Yesthatismychildsigh · 01/04/2023 08:41

I’ve been a couple of times. Frankly it was a rip off. Subpar facilities and basically just designed to part you from your money. I’m comfortably off, absolutely don’t mind paying for things, but do resent being obviously and cynically stolen from.

runforyourdog · 01/04/2023 08:56

I just find it like really 'fake' countryside and weird how you can't really get in and out and if you take a dog they have to be exercised in a tiny area!

bluebellls · 01/04/2023 09:03

Yes and we love it! If shared cost between 3 couples it is mega cheap

Matter of opinion really. I think the entertainment and shows at butlins, plus the fair ground for small children which is all included in the quite limited cost is far better than centre parcs for young children. Maybe teens.
I have never had an issue with cleanliness at Butlins either.

QuertyGirl · 01/04/2023 09:14

Obviously they do.

It is over priced and getting more so.

It's the car free thing that sells it though

Jowak1 · 01/04/2023 09:18

Yes but not as much as we used to due to the cost. We have just recently come back from Whinfell Forest as my kids had a teacher training day on the Friday. As it was only their school that were off in the area the date ( end of March) we booked was a lot cheaper than normal school holidays.

In the old Mumsnet days it used to be code for anal sex Grin
