There doesn't seem to be anything funny anymore. Would love to be proven wrong.

Always makes me laugh when I need it - not for the easily offended though 😂

I actually was crying tears with laughter at the story of the woman who was applying for a job and instead of attaching her CV to the covering letter she was emailing the company, she managed to attach a bizarre photograph of Nicholas Cage to her cover letter.
It's funny when you see the image of Nicholas Cage that she actually attached.

It still sets me off chuckling so it does.

LookItsMeAgain · 31/03/2023 12:25

Here is the story about Nicolas Cage (sorry - I realised that I spelled his first name like Nicholas Hoult does):

I think Jason Manford is funny, try his stand up such as Muddle Class

Scorchio83 · 31/03/2023 12:27

is it the wind blowing in his Con Air meme if it isn't it should be mo chara 👊

charliegirl86 · 31/03/2023 12:30

The MN thread about the family who couldn't finish a full tub of pâté made me laugh real tears

PussBilledDuckyPlait · 31/03/2023 12:31

I didn't expect to laugh at the Nicolas Cage thing but when I looked at it, I did start chuckling, to the extent my husband asked me what was up.

Or my all time favourite, John Redwood singing the Welsh National Anthem. The greatest comedians of the world have never managed to top that golden comedy moment.

I had a terrible 'wrong attachment' type story from university... we had a shared computer lab in our halls and my friend and I were messing about writing messages and blowing them up to massive size font so we could read them across the room and giggle <mature>

I had written the words 'moist cunt' in massive text on a page, cue lots of stifled giggles, then I realised I had to run to class so quickly saved/closed everything on the pc onto the floppy disc (retro!)

A few days later at the mandatory computer skills class I had the floppy disc in the laptop in the room with about 15 classmates. I was sitting right at the front and the teacher decided to do a demo with my laptop on the big screen. Off course, saved in my documents was a word doc simply called 'Moist Cunt.doc'

I wanted to die on the spot, especially when the lecturer said he was just glad it wasn't a jpeg 😂i never went back to that class and 3 years later had to do a catch up computer skills class to be allowed to graduate!

This is why I still watch IT Crowd, Father Ted, and Black Books over and over again.

BBC can't do funny. That show sounds abysmal.

I find some insta reels funny though. Shows? I think Graham Lineham ruined everything for me. He's a genius.

Valerie65 · 31/03/2023 13:49

@Sobloodysoreandfedup now that is funny 🤣🤣🤣 keep them coming!

Have you read the thread where the woman accidentally shared her work colleague’s Facebook page? Then someone chimes in with a story about a woman stalking her ex on Facebook and managing to tag herself as the baby in a photo of him and his new wife and baby. Fuck I had tears rolling down my face. And I don’t generally find most stuff funny.

Can you link this?? Sounds great

Squirrelsnut · 31/03/2023 17:46

Try The Welsh Twins on YouTube. Two stylish, very groomed young chaps doing ridiculous things with wit and good humour. I have almost choked laughing at their stuff.

That's horrible, how can anyone find the pain of others funny?

Yeah I have never found people having accidents and probably hurting themselves funny.

NotTerfNorCis · 31/03/2023 17:55

Philomena Cunk and Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe have some laugh out loud moments.

IsThePopeCatholic · 31/03/2023 17:57

Lunatics on Netflix: hilarious.

PelvicFlora · 31/03/2023 17:59

The other day I stumbled across a YouTube compilation of all of Bob Mortimer's appearances on Would I Lie To You (which I don't normally watch).

It completely cracked me up. Tears streaming and everything. But I said to DH afterwards - that is the first time I've properly, genuinely, belly laughed at anything in ages.

Everything nowadays is all about murderers or some sort of apocalyptic event that everyone has to survive, or rich twats behaving like cunts. It's such a downer.

Bananananas · 31/03/2023 18:01

I watch a lot of live comedy, and go and see live comedians a lot including the likes of Jimmy Carr. But I can't remember the last time I completely belly laughed at anyone. The last bunch of comedians I saw relied on insulting and slagging off the audience so much a lot of people sat around where I was were left feeling distinctly uncomfortable. But it's banter isn't it, anything goes in the name of banter.

Namechangenoidea · 31/03/2023 18:15

LizzieBrooks · 31/03/2023 06:58

I remember it. Haven’t laughed so hard in years. Cracking up again now at your post.

There was another one at a similar time about a woman who stalked her hot colleague and Siri read out his address, which he overheard. Also hilarious.

Please post the link!!

Shannith · 31/03/2023 18:19

Oh I've just remembered - go on you tube and search Whose Line is it Anyway?

I've cried laughing watching that (I'm old so I used to watch it when I was young) - still properly, universally funny.
