Waters broke 14 weeks is there any hope?

I think my waters broke and I'm only 14 weeks along, i was stood in the kitchen and all of a sudden there was a load of bloody liquid like wee but I wasn't weeing. Maternity unit wouldn't see me because I was less than 18 weeks and EPU is shut so they told me to ring 111 who said go to A&E so now I'm sat in A&E.

There is no hope for the baby though right? :( I have had 3 miscarriages and when this one got to 12 weeks and everything looked OK I stupidly began to relax.

That is truely wonderful news.

When I was 14 weeks pregnant I had abnormal bleeding while on holiday. I was taken to Barnstable hospital in an ambulance, considering the volume of blood, no one including me thought there was any hope. While on the EPU I lost a lot of clear fluid overnight, I didn't tell anyone as we thought I had already lost him and was waiting to be scanned. He wasn't in a great position on the scan, the picture I was given was just 4 white smudges, his hands and his feet holding on.

But everything was fine, DS will be 18 this coming Saturday.

We did have a scare later in the pregnancy, they think some of the blood from that bleed was trapped inside and came out as a clot a couple of months later, but he was (and is in my eyes at least) perfect.

Great news, OP! Just wanted to say that I had a massive, horrendous bleed when I was 12 weeks and was convinced I was miscarrying....he's now a hulking great 10 year old and very robust! Sending best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy x

Hello everyone

I have had my scan, baby is fine!! Which is obviously great news but I think I am just in shock I honestly thought there was no hope.

I have been admitted to the EPU for monitoring and they think what happened yesterday was just a water leak rather than losing everything and they can't really explain why and that the bleeding this morning was just because of them swabbing my cervix yesterday.

This is amazing news, I have been checking constantly for updates. I know there will still be plenty of worry/anxiety around this pregnancy though so sending you lots of strength and positive vibes going forwards. xx
