This is abuse. What kind of parent takes their baby to a show like this?

Heyboooo

can you explain why a white person dressing up as a parody of a black person is offensive but a male dressing up as a women is fine.
both are the oppressor dressing up as the oppressed?

Heyboooo · 03/03/2023 23:22

I didn’t ask about child-related, I just asked about drag in general.

Drag in itself is perfectly fine - you sound homophobic

How so?

What is homophobic about finding drag to be 'woman face and an offensive parody of womanhood?

People used to enjoy minstrel shows didn't they but black face is frowned upon now?

Most homosexuals are simply exclusively same sex attracted and don't feel the need to parody and oversexualise womanhood.

Fromwetome · 03/03/2023 23:26

@RiceMakesGoodConfetti it's even worse than writhing on the floor, it was twerking and other gyrating that could only be described as sexual. Movements completely foreign to a baby or child and movements that when copied by toddlers would have anyone who didn't know where they learnt it from questioning why is that child displaying sexualised behaviour??

Lucinda Hole.

Try saying it aloud.

That's the performance name of the person doing the splits, in a thong, in front of babies and toddlers.

Called "Auntie Lucinda", by the organisers.

Sorry, I stand corrected.

Lucinda B. Hind.

Or, Auntie Lucinda, to the children.

SidewaysOtter · 03/03/2023 23:27

For those saying “It’s OK because very young children don’t remember things at that age” - they do. I have very specific memories where I can only have been 12 months at most. So kids of that age DO remember.

And that’s BEFORE we get to the safeguarding clusterfuck which is assuming things are OK if children are young enough not to remember them. Where do we want to draw THAT line?

Paedophillia hiding in plain sight. So disgusting

It's not even hiding.

Vebrithien · 03/03/2023 23:28

anunlikelyseahorse · 03/03/2023 23:27

It's not even hiding.

Not enough clothing there for any hiding.

oakleaffy · 03/03/2023 23:29

Grotesque.
Just ''WHY?''.

MissMaple82 · 03/03/2023 23:30

What the actual fuuuuuckkkk

Fromwetome · 03/03/2023 23:30

@Heyboooo

I'm a lesbian and what exactly is homosexual about drag that to question it, automatically makes it homophobic? It's not innate to homosexuals you do realise that??

MissMaple82 · 03/03/2023 23:31

Busybody2022 · 03/03/2023 21:23

It's child sex abuse. If it were a working class family with porn on on the TV with the baby crawling around it would be called out for what it is. This is no different.

I mean it's grim.. but its not porn or sex

SouperNoodle · 03/03/2023 23:31

Someone theatrical reading a kids book? It's great! They bring a bit more excitement to the stories they read.
Basically just someone with a costume on. Nothing inappropriate or sexual about it. The pictures shown above are completely inappropriate and exposing children to behaviour that just shouldn't be seen imo.

LadyJ2023 · 03/03/2023 23:31

Disgusting

crispsandnuts · 03/03/2023 23:33

And I thought the krankies was controversial when I was a kid...

lovescats3 · 03/03/2023 23:34

What fresh hell is this

what part of drag is not sexualised?

lovescats3 · 03/03/2023 23:36

Council safeguarding - where are you?

lovescats3 · 03/03/2023 23:37

Drag is sexualised, that's the point of it

BeStrongLittleRodney · 03/03/2023 23:40

Absolutely awful and potentially dangerous.

If these parents had dropped their child at nursery and the nursery had chosen to lay on this as entertainment every parent would be furious, demand trial assessments, call it a lack of boundaries and grooming.

it is mind boggling why social services are not actually visiting every parent for exposing their child to adult entertainment and sexualised behaviour

SouperNoodle · 03/03/2023 23:41

@Helleofabore are you serious? Someone with a wig, eccentric makeup and an over the top costume is always sexualised? How about clowns? Do they seem sexual to you?

DumpedinKilburn · 03/03/2023 23:42

Councils won't say anything because they'll be accused of being homophobic or trans phobic or drag phobic.

Just stick phobic on the end of anything and you'll instantly have individuals and authorities backing down. Phobic is a magic word, some people would rather be called anything than something phobic.

A brilliant piece of marketing by tools who don't understand that to be phobic is to be irrationally afeared of something.

To be afeared of all this shit is not phobic, it's totally rational and it's about time that ordinary people weren't so frightened of being accused of being phobic and instead, wear the accusation like a badge of honour.

Are you a bit dim or just pretending to be?

Away and feel for your head-it's leaking!

At least they resisted any temptation they might have had, to turn up to a show wearing their ' going out to swingers do's ' clothing, especially the mrs, who i can't imagine would turn up for those sessions wearing her little boy costume.

They are busy not doing their job, taking taxpayers money and being scared of men threatening to kill people, so they are hiding safeguarding themselves whilst throwing women, children and babies at the scary men so they sit in safety counting their loot.
