to walk around bald?

Is this socially acceptable for a woman?

I prefer when I am exercising to have my head bald, so for parkrun, etc I am already doing it

How about going to the shops, or getting on a bus, or going into a cafe with friends?

Is it OK to walk around totally bald do you think?

How would you view it? Would you do it?

Thank you - I feel great that I have done it once.

Next time I have to go out will be this afternoon, after schools finish, and that will be the real test, I get sneering and mockery from groups of school girls anyway, cos I walk strangely now, and wear the turban. Also, have limits in what clothes I can physically get on, and end up in strange combinations, sometimes.

Take a note of The school they attend and contact. That is despicable

Great stuff @Booblessbeauty ! Keep up the good work!

@Plingston I felt like you about the Looking Good Feeling Better workshop, but did it anyway. I had fun and the goody bag was amazing! Full size Chanel stuff, some smaller Dior bits and loads of other things. I still didn't start wearing make up, but now I'm starting to feel better I do and they were there waiting for me! They do other workshops besides make up and you can book with them even after chemo has ended.

I would assume cancer treatment too so I might have a slightly ‘sad for you’ look on my face if I walked past.

Yeah, tell your face not to do that FFS Hmm

More bald walking - its great! I am getting used to it now, no negative response from anyone, not even the bunches of school girls I have passed

Well done for being brave enough to take that first step

You'll be an inspiration for lots of people you walk past without even realising it

Definitely!!!

I had chemo and lost my hair but always wore wigs. I used to look at the women who walked around bald and think they looked fabulous - it definitely takes a certain level of confidence and I think that's what so fabulous about it, although the circumstances were obviously heartbreaking.

Go for it. But wear a hat whilst it's cold 😂
