Firstly - if it's been posted before, I apologise, as there's always one snippy person who will point it out to me.. (rolls eyes)
I just think they are horrible.. bad enough in the past, but now, we have to have splashes of blood on them? REALLY? Is it just me?

Actually, the NHS ads too.. why are they (presumably) spending millions advertising? (The latest one is the guy going to do his poo test.) These tests are sent out to - I think - over 60's in England anyway. Younger in Scotland, as I recall. Surely anyone younger knows by now, blood in poo, (try and) make a GP appointment?

Maybe it's just me being grumpy.. ? Every time I see either advert, I get the rage!

Heard a midwife today say that new born baby girls can have blood in their first nappies and it's something to do with menstruation that they don't understand - we are so complicated it's fascinating.

There was an old man stinking out the bus because he smelt like wee, and I thought to myself, why are all the adverts for women? Maybe if there were more adverts for men, less would smell.

So how did you select your broadband supplier? Or your phone? Or your tech

When I first moved to my house NTL (now Virgin Media) was the only real option.

I was then recommended Plusnet by my mum.

And I buy tech based on reviews and Which write-ups.

I sometimes respond to email marketing but I don't think I've ever bought anything based on a TV ad.

The bowel cancer test they send out is:
a) for over 50s, not over 60s
b) for blood that isn’t visible
Clearly you need to watch the advert a few more times.

Personally, I think every single person should do a FIT for bowel cancer. They cost £10 privately and could save your life. It’s absolutely untrue that only older people get bowel cancer. Dame Deborah James was stage 4 by 33 and I was stage 2 by 24.

Where are they 10 please

I'm all for ads that raise awareness particularly around health. Don't presume people know stuff. I spoke to a patient last year who thought I was lieing when I said fruit contained calories.

My friends mid 20s colleague (who has a child) has just discovered her urethra. She thought you weed out your vagina.

My dad thought the blood in his poo was probably from piles. It wasn't, it was cancer. He's dead now!
