My mother is staying with us for a couple of nights- she lives 100 miles away. We get on Ok but 48 hours is definitely my limit...

Just opened my cutlery drawer to find she's swapped my cutlery from Knives- Forks-Spoons (left to right) to Spoons - Forks - Knives. When I asked her why she simply said "because it's the right way and it was irritating me before". WTAF.

Critique my parenting mother, feel free to judge the state of my garden but stay the fuck away from my cutlery drawer!

Go to hers, take ALL her cutlery out out and replaced it with small plates and put the cutlery in the fridge.

My cutlery drawer goes front to back, not left to right & I'm pretty sure I'm breaking a law of the universe somewhere because my spoons are at the front.

The reason being that spoons are the most frequently used by my ever-eating-cereal teenagers.

We settled on my DH's knives forks spoons but it still secretly annoys me. Who knew something so small can be conditioned from childhood?

My ex mil did this to me I had just returned from a couple of sleepless nights in hospital with a sick child to find she had rewashed all my clean washing using way too much powder (it was like they were starched they were so stiff) used a months worth of gas and electricity ran my dishwasher with ONE BOWL AND SPOON IN and switched my cutlery drawer around her son (my husband at the time) told me I was "ungrateful" so I rewashed everyone's clothes bar his and everytime he moaned about white stripes (of undisolved powder) on his clothing or how itchy and stiff they were I called him ungrateful (also incompetent because he was at home why was she there doing my washing that DIDNT NEED DOING)

the worst thing was the cutlery drawer it incensed me beyond belief its MY CUTLERY 😂

She also turned the small knives around so when I put my hand in I poked myself with a sharp knife and (the most offensive part) turned the TEASPOONS THE OTHER WAY first post hospital cuppa ruined RUINED 😂
