Can i see your nails?? ❤️

Going to get mine done for the first time ever this afternoon. I found out yesterday and have no idea what to get!
Mine are super short.
I want a little bit of length but what shall I ask for? What shape is current (but not cutting edge 😂)
I want colour.
Do you have to get them removed at a salon at the end of their life?
Help a nail newbie please 🙏😁

These are mine, I do them myself. It’s biab on natural nails with my favourite nude gel colour and a bit of sparkle. I’ve had red glitter then palest white/pink since Christmas so I’m just after a natural look for a bit.

Can you link to want you use, please? This has exactly what I'm after.

@ChangedmynameagainforChristmas I think it's something like that. I usually have them shorter in a more square/coffin shape, but left them a bit longer and rounded this time.

@Rollerbird most nail salons do gel now I think. You can have them made longer using tips and hard gel

Mine were painted black and then she put a chrome powder on them, the picture doesn't do them justice the colours are gorgeous 🖤

Lines are a bit wobbly but i do them myself with gel polish 😊

When I say short mine are very short.
Im thinking of asking for gel with tips to make them longer.
I will probably go for a dark purply red or something like @Bagatella or @StrawberryPavlova or even @FreezeYourBrain because I love all of them!!

A mixture of my own nails and extensions with BIAB gel. Much better than acrylic.

@twilightcafe that is a gorgeous colour, and your statement ring works beautifully as a contrast.

I love the raspberry colour on @Vieve1325 main pic too.

My nails will remain short and naked, as I don’t like drawing attention to my elderly careworn hands, but love to see what others do!

My advice, OP, if you're going to go for extensions, don't go too long too soon.

Loooong nails are definitely doable - but go there gradually. Other wise i fear you'll feel pissed off with them real quick.

@FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee If you mean colours, the Base is mylee biab in peach, sensationail in macchiato (think the whole range is now discontinued) and blue sky luxury gold. If you want the kit to do it yourself I got everything from Mylee.

Ach-i used got to think that-I work in care-but I've found gels to be fairly indestructible. The ones I just posted have been on a week and a half and during this time I've plastered a wall, move a tonne of tiles and painted two rooms and they only have one tiny chip in them. Go for it, you May be surprised!

I think your nails are a nice shape and length OP, I was picturing my DD’s bitten down to the quick nails! I wouldn’t get tips/extensions if I were you, just gel. Lots of lovely colours available and you don’t need to worry about the tips coming off.
