Longer than my (size 5) foot?

Just taken in my tesco delivery and I have been delivered a cucumber that is literally the same length as my foot.

I need to pay more attention when I'm taking my shopping in!

It's fussy consumers like you that drive huge amounts of food waste in farming because you want every cucumber to be the same shape and size. Perfect uniformity doesn't occur in nature and we need to stop being so fussy. I imagine that farmers are all feeling the squeeze in the cost of living too.

Hahahahaha! I'm first in line for the wonky veg bags.

I just grudge paying exactly the same as someone else for a cucumber that's two thirds the size.

Did you ask for a 'foot long' cucumber?
I have seen 'store pickers' measuring items in supermarkets. It's one reason I never order sausages.

Why are people saying that a (bare according to one post) foot next to a cucumber is gross? Firstly the foot isn't bare. And secondly the cucumber is wrapped.

Anyway, we had a cucumber from sainsburys a few weeks ago. I reckon it was bigger than my sons size 10 foot. DS2 has been moaning ever since that we haven't had another massive one. Although when we have 'normal' sized ones he ignores them and they end up going mushy.
