I know this is a bit of a cheek, but I'm curious to know, ok maybe to see where I fall to in the range of answers.
Are people generally on the lower side, higher side, in the middle and are you happy, trying to lose, trying to gain, counting calories or couldn't care less?

OP posts:

My BMI is 21. Happy with this and maintain easily. Not dieting.

Absolutely no idea. We have no scales in the house. As long as my clothes keep fitting. If they leave marks I try and cut down or go up a size

This is me too.

HedgeWitchy · 06/02/2023 11:40

I didn’t know it, but checking it’s 25

boderline healthy/ overweight. However I’m over 40 and strong/ fit. I have good muscle bulk, I can lift more than many men and walk at speed over hills. I’d guess I could lose muscle, gain fat and skip into the healthy range.

my figure is ok. I have a soft belly and large boobs. I’m not fashionable at all, but I feel good enough. My body has served me well bearing children and staying healthy, so I like and respect it. It does everything I want to do and doesn’t let me down keeping up with 5 children

  1. I'm quite active. Weight hasn't changed in 30 years. I dip under if very stressed and go up a notch in winter but never more than a couple of pounds. IBS and heart disease in the family keeps me healthy
Coldilox · 06/02/2023 11:42

24.3

Would like to lose a stone.

EscapeRoomToTheSun · 06/02/2023 11:42

Snap!

Climbles · 06/02/2023 11:43

23 used to be 36 so I’m very happy with that

BeautifulWar · 06/02/2023 11:44

22, which is uncomfortable for me. I have a medium bone structure and feel comfortable at 20-21.

I've let myself slide into bad snacking habits over winter.

LynneBenfield · 06/02/2023 11:45

21

I don’t track exercise or calories. I have an active lifestyle, eat relatively healthily, don’t smoke and drink considerably less than the recommended limit of alcohol units per week. I’m not trying to lose or gain weight.

Gufo · 06/02/2023 11:45

21.4 - down from 24.5 this time last year. I've gone from 'ok, but be careful' on the NHS BMI calculator to firmly in the ok camp. Have a few more pounds to lose so that should get me to a bmi of 21.

ThatshallotBaby · 06/02/2023 11:46

@Sazzling
I just wanted to say, be kind to yourself. We are not defined by our weight. Do something nice just for yourself today. Flowers

massivesalads · 06/02/2023 11:48

Butterflycatchers · 06/02/2023 11:48

Steppedystep · 06/02/2023 11:49

Mitfordian · 06/02/2023 11:51

Lentilweaver · 06/02/2023 11:51

GreyTS · 06/02/2023 11:53

HuntingoftheSnark · 06/02/2023 11:56

No plans to actively lose weight.

Why not?

MaryBary · 06/02/2023 12:00
  1. I've just had weight loss surgery. I was 47.6 last week.
Minikievs · 06/02/2023 12:03

Am 44 and peri menopausal, it's creeping up slowly

Seasonofthewitch83 · 06/02/2023 12:04

janefondofu · 06/02/2023 11:59

Why not?

Weight is not a focus for me at all. I only know my BMI as I recently had surgery. Its just a number.
