To ask (in desperation!) for help finding passport

As the title says really, I need my passport on Saturday and cannot find it anywhere. A complicating factor is that I left H a few months ago and may have placed passports somewhere “safe” either at home or at my mums where I stayed for a bit. Both houses turned upside down with no joy, so I’m hoping you lovely people may have some suggestions. I am now too stressed to think straight!!

I think I remember taking them to my mums but to be honest I’m not sure if that’s just because I can’t find them at home. H is now out of the house but can’t rule out him having moved them either I suppose. Annoyingly the only passport I have found is his!

Look in the pockets/ compartments of any bags you e used to transport stuff.

Have you used it for ID at all?

(I found mine under the sofa cushions.)

I need one passport but three are missing - mine and the DCs. I know MN can’t actually find them but I’ve searched everywhere I can possibly think of so was just hoping others may suggest somewhere I’ve not thought of in my panic

Check car.

And small pockets of any of your handbags.

Then check under any mattresses in your house.

Mine was in a trouser side pocket that had somehow got folded up with clean clothes and put into a drawer

My friend lost hers and found it months later in her locker at work- she'd taken it in to use for ID for something . Maybe you've needed ID?

Inside a book that means something to you

Yep - pockets of every bag you have used since moving......I had the same issue and found them in the side pocket of a sports bag after considerable panic

When I lost mine, it was behind the tumble dryer. No reason for it to be there. We had everyone pulling the house apart, and my mum pulled the dryer out, and there it was.
So, look absolutely everywhere, even places that don't make sense.

Anywhere you might have put them while using them for ID is a very good shout. Job or training applications, verification for bills, proof of domicile? With your household bills? Anything needed for school?

If you've recently split from your partner, have you needed it for ID?

Check every handbag, every coat pocket. Try to think when you last used it.

My only advice , is check: the pockets of anything you only wear once in a blue moon, behind the fridge ( could have slipped off the top of it), under any rugs ( I've put things there to keep them safe then totally forgot I did so), in any ripped sofa lining, down the side of & under every bed .

If they're all 3 missing then you've put them somewhere safe. Have a think about the best and safest places that come to mind... Good luck!

work bag? I agree with a PP, the fact all three are missing does suggest you have put them somewhere safe together. Bedside cabinet?

Mine was on the scanner bed of the printer as I'd photocopied it

If you think they are at your mum’s have you asked her if she recalls you leaving them there?

Ive found mine in -handbag, dressing gown, desk drawer, in the place it’s supposed to be (study). It depends when I enter the passport details in for the flights, i have to check where/when I did that and it gives me a clue.

Right don’t laugh at me but have you prayed to St Anthony? I don’t know why it works, I’m not even religious but it does work.

Light a candle and say ‘Dear St Anthony please come around, something is lost and it cannot be found’.

Mine had slipped off a shelf and was under the dogs bed. Didn’t even remember it being on that shelf in the first place.
