Worried about war

I'm so frightened right now. Do we all think we're heading into WW3. If we send tanks it escalates, if we don't it would spread anyway. Can anyone calm me in anyway. I'm really scared. Help....please.

No I think the opposite is true. If people write threads similar to mine I'm always grateful to read the level headed responses.

So why make another one?

Greenshake · 22/01/2023 18:55

XenoBitch · 22/01/2023 18:50

There is a fantastic and level headed thread in Chat about Ukraine that is about 37 threads deep now... it had been going on that long.
When you post a written panic attack in AIBU, you set other people off. That is not fair. It has a domino effect, and then we see multiple threads about being nuked to dust, in one day.

The good thing is that the contributors on the established Ukraine thread won’t tolerate these type of hysterical posts. That’s not the sort of rational response that a lot of these people want though.

No, if multiple people write similar thread to yours, many people will wonder why there are so many threads and then panic.
I don't watch the news, so have no idea.. but seeing multiple threads about the same thing is unsettling me...

FourTeaFallOut · 22/01/2023 18:57

Let's say nobody says anything to convince you otherwise - what's the point in worrying about something you have no control of?

mbosnz · 22/01/2023 18:57

So what kind of nuclear weapons are you worried about? Tactical or strategic?

maeveiscurious · 22/01/2023 18:58

If we have a nuclear war life as we know it ends for all. Don't watch "Last of Us" or you will be worried about fungus

Another day another idiotic post

If we could control our worries we'd never worry about a thing. Unfortunately we can't.

The established Ukraine thread doesn't ever reassure me.

Well either seeks help or show a little stoicism about it. You won't get what you need on MN.

I find the news much more panic inducing. People asking for reassurance about something that's in the news every day much less so.

People who don't mind giving someone who suffers from anxiety, reassurance without being nasty.

If you really are this ridiculously anxious go and see a doctor

Clearly not if you keep starting hysterical threads

@TarasHarp55 if the established Ukraine thread doesn’t help, nor does the news, is it worth you getting some professional help? Threads like these are going to be a mix of opinions, some of which you are not going to like.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 22/01/2023 19:10

thats not what I said and you know it
But I doubt that suits your agenda

If your anxiety is irrational, then seeking reassurance is unhelpful to you. If anything, it is enabling.

stbrandonsboat · 22/01/2023 19:11

Russia's nuclear weapons are rusted pieces of junk. Like all their other equipment 🙄 come to think of it, Putin is a rusted old piece of junk as well, so I shouldn't worry too much. He's heading for the hot place soon enough, and I don't mean an underground bunker.
