Was I being unreasonable to keep a scammer on the ropes for 2 days?

Light-hearted really and just wanted to share, loads of these scams floating around out there and the worrying part is some people probably do fall for them, but I had my fun.

No I think they had enough of me, I was amazed they even messaged me again in the morning. If they do reply again I'll update!

I text the number they sent, I'm not sure why they do it from two numbers. Maybe to better avoid being detected or make it seem more legitimate? Also these types of things are normally via whatsapp (for incription) and they normally want paypal transfers or some dodgy paysite. This was on imessage and they gave me their full bank details, so not the brightest spark.

You even remind me of my mum with the bit about putting waffles in the toaster. One of my mum's classic lines was "there's some squash in the cupboard if you want some. You add water to it." I was 40, I did know how to prepare a glass of squash!

I hope by doing this someone who would have fallen for such a scam did not get contacted.

That's brilliant. Wish I'd kept mine talking a bit more when they tried to scam me in the same way. Both my kids were in the house at the time so I asked if they wanted to come and watch TV with me! I then asked which child this was and they didn't reply.....!
