I wasn’t bothered about it before really, maybe had a nice cold coke a few times a year with a pizza takeaway or McDonald’s, but generally never drank fizzy drinks, if I did it was Sprite/7 up.
I drink one coffee a day and the rest is water, fizzy flavoured waters.
I keep buying it now and thinking about it 🤷🏻‍♀️I could just drink a cold coke now..so weird.
Definitely not pregnant, have been ill (flu/cough etc) since the New year-when it started really, is it this? What the hell

@Bittercup I’m honestly thinking about it now, a really cold bottle of coke..already had one from the shop today. Picking up a few bits with Dd and felt thirsty, usually I’d grab us both a bottle of forest fruit water or lemon water, nope, big bottle of coke that I finished in the afternoon, just weird

Yes OP I love coke too (the drink 🤣) I only ever drink Diet Coke or Coke Zero.

I prefer Pepsi Max though, it has a better and more appealing taste imo.

I know the diet versions of these drinks are probably no better than the full sugar versions, but it makes me feel better knowing I’m not drinking full sugar 🤣🤣

Ah! So interesting to read this - I had covid late last year and since then I’ve been craving coke too and I never drink fizzy drinks.
I’ve tried to limit it to one Coke Zero a week as a treat but at least once a day, I really really want an ice cold, full fat coke!

Have you cut down in sugar in your food? Probably just your body just craving sugar if so

How long since you were tested for diabetes?

I'm genuinely addicted to Coke Zero and so is a friend of mine.
God knows what they put it in but I can't kick it. I've had 2 stomach ulcers because of it and my liver bloods are now coming back abnormal.
This is by far the strongest addiction I've had and I used to smoke and be an alcoholic 🙃

@Cas112 Not really, I don’t have lots of sugar, but if I fancy something, I don’t deny myself. I’m not craving anything else sugary though

@Over40Overdating I’m hoping it’s just because I’ve been ill and it will stop. I’ve had covid twice (last time in May) and didn’t have the craving then, but do now!

Sometimes if I'm dehydrated or have a uti I crave a can of coke it's really odd 🤔 also flavoured water makes me really thirsty so I can't drink it!

I would start cutting back, as someone who has had kidney stones twice and 20yrs of reoccurring UTIs l have found coke to be a major factor.

I always crave a maccies Coke around when my period is due. I assume its my hormones, I'll live off one a day for the full week prior to my period some months 😅

@takealettermsjones I was drinking around 5 cans a day (sometime more, sometimes less but that was the average)

I had a week off it, convincing myself I was quitting for good but I'm back to 3 a day currently but trying hard not to go over that limit.
