Not got much planned this weekend, feeling like I should be sociable but I don’t want to be!! What’s everyone else up to?

GreenDanglyearrings · 13/01/2023 19:59

I am taking children to sport activities. Meeting a friend who is struggling with her mental health for a long walk. Falling asleep early on the sofa both evenings! Ooh and filling in a job application.

mrsfollowill · 13/01/2023 20:05

Nothing planned- all of us are shattered tonight after working all week. Drinking wine, waiting for takeaway, then off to bed and luckily will sleep as long as I want! I always think this time of year is hard going- always dark and normally awful weather. Tomorrow is a day of rest then maybe Sunday we'll go out for a walk/pub meal or something. Always an 'unsociable' time of year - everyone needs to hibernate!

GotAnyGrapez · 13/01/2023 20:07

Cozy weekend home. DS2 isn't feeling so good and it's meant to be 70 mph winds tomorrow so sod that. 😂

bluechameleon · 13/01/2023 20:12

Tomorrow taking the DC to their activity then out for the day with my parents. Sunday DH is taking them out in the morning so I can work, and a friend is hopefully coming round in the afternoon.

Ragwort · 13/01/2023 20:19

Being totally unsociable by choice Grin. DH is away for the weekend so I am enjoying eating my favourite foods, watching my favourite tv and generally slobbing around. I work Saturdays but have booked the afternoon off for another afternoon of being alone and doing nothing Grin. More of the same on Sunday.... I love spending time alone .. my job is very much customer focussed, I have endless volunteering commitments and care for an elderly DP so to have a practically 'free' weekend with no demands on my time is a real pleasure!

catlovingdoctor · 13/01/2023 20:21

Revision for an exam on Monday

IvanaB · 13/01/2023 20:31

I'll be doing around 6 loads of washing as we're just back from our holidays 😣

Anisina · 13/01/2023 20:33

No plans. First week back at work after the xmas holidays has wiped me out. I need to do some food shopping at some point though.

extrapineappleonmypizza · 13/01/2023 20:37

I'm wedding dress shopping.
I started last weekend and didn't enjoy it much.

TheNeverEndingOver · 13/01/2023 20:40

yabu

Hellocatshome · 13/01/2023 20:41

My only free weekend for the rest of the month with swimming galas for all the remaining weekends so I plan on doing very little apart from getting my first hair cut in over a year.

Coasterfan · 13/01/2023 20:43

I m in hospital with cellulitis having 48 to 72 hours of IV antibiotics! But the pain and infection has been ruining my life since November so I am hoping this one weekend of cancelled plans will sort it for good!! It’s actually nice and restful not having to do anything and being able to mumsnet and nap all day! 😀

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 13/01/2023 20:50

Taking dm out for afternoon tea for her 80th birthday.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 13/01/2023 20:51

Ooh @Coasterfan, get well soon. Hope the IV ABs do the job.

mamaduckbone · 13/01/2023 21:05

Finishing decorating our bedroom with Dh and watching the dcs play rugby are the only firm plans. Not very exciting.

OnceRuralNowUrbanbliss · 13/01/2023 21:07

5000 word essay due in on on Monday and not really started yet plus pilates, a manicure and the silence of a rarer than rare teen free

CeriB82 · 13/01/2023 21:08

Absolutely nothing apart from taking DS to foo tomorrow morning. I’m sure it will be called off due to the weather.

im very hormonal and sad so it’s safer to stay home incase i kill somebody

OldTinHat · 13/01/2023 21:10

Nothing, nothing and nothing and feeling utterly fed up!

Three weeks of 'the germ' and Christmas on my own, was desperate to get out last week for a walk, had a dizzy spell, fell and fractured my bloody ankle!

Live on my own, can't drive, can't walk so more rubbish TV for me...sigh...! Please feel free to feel pity! 😁

Enjoy your weekends OP and PPs, I shall live life through you and food takeaways!!

SilliusSoddus · 13/01/2023 21:14

Gonna have a go at making wax melts.
Got to take some stuff up to the allotment.
Walk the dog several times.
Do some washing.
Plant some peonies.
Family coming round for Sunday lunch and afternoon film.

SocksAndTheCity · 13/01/2023 21:14

I'm headed for the coast where I have a flat, going out for lunch tomorrow and probably a walk.

I was very happy to remember that last time I was here I bought a load of the frozen party food that's always on 3 for 2 before Christmas, so I will be rooting in the chest freezer for mini prawn toasts and breaded camembert things in lieu of having to cook 😊

NellietheNumpty · 13/01/2023 21:18

I am granny sitting for a friend. They have a granny with memory loss and are away for the weekend.

Thatbigbowinherhair · 13/01/2023 21:18

Tomorrow-Dh working, so I’m taking Dd, 4 food shopping and then for an Oreo milkshake, a play on the beach and to spend her £2 pocket money 😅In the afternoon, a long dog walk in the woods and pizza for dinner.
Sunday-We’re going away for a few nights to stay in a villa at a country club resort..we’ll take Dd swimming in the indoor pool, jacuzzi, playground etc and watch tv altogether in bed, eating popcorn (what she’s most excited about)
This is 100% not our normal January weekends! An opportunity came up for a good deal. January weekends are generally dog walks, dinner by the fire, maybe some baking and games with Dd..lots of staying in

JamSandle · 13/01/2023 21:18

I'm meeting up with a friend of mine and going to the theatre. Sunday will be life admin and relaxing.

Thatbigbowinherhair · 13/01/2023 21:19

Thatbigbowinherhair · 13/01/2023 21:20
