Not got much planned this weekend, feeling like I should be sociable but I don’t want to be!! What’s everyone else up to?

OP posts:
VestaTilley · 13/01/2023 21:53

Teen DNephew visiting while DSis works and DF and DM are at a wedding. DH will take him and DS to DS’s football class in the morning while I have a driving lesson. Then all home for pizza for lunch, then I’ll take DNephew and DS to a local science museum on the bus in the afternoon while DH catches up on some work. Lasagne in the evening, followed by a board game, TV and bed.

Sunday - church in the morning, roast lunch, then a walk or bike ride before DF comes to collect DNephew.

You're an angel!

HundredMilesAnHour · 13/01/2023 21:57

Personal trainer on Sat morning followed by coffee with a gym friend followed by lunch with one of my closest friends and her teenage daughter.

Gym class Sun morning then gym girls trip to Borough Market for coffee and gossiping.

Sums up my life....lots of gym and lots of coffee 😂

gravyriceandchips · 13/01/2023 21:58

New fridge freezer coming in the morning so have to get everything out the old one before they arrive.

Pick up flowers to make my friends wedding bouquet on Tuesday night

Make some side dishes for a party on Saturday night

Post vinted stuff

Get ready for the party tomorrow night

I'm dreading everything till I get the party

Jewelanemone · 13/01/2023 22:00

DH and I are off to the coast tomorrow for a n overnight stay and cocktail session with friends that we haven't seen for ages. Home on Sunday after breakfast and we're off on Monday too. My plan is to finish the mountain of Christmas chocolates whilst binge-watching series 2 of Happy Valley.

A very productive weekend.

@piedbeauty its in a field locally, and it’s a training session run by our town wildlife group. I’ve never done it before, but I think we learn how to spot their nests/signs so we can possibly survey other areas and report back.

I'd love to do that!! Will Google for opportunities locally...

DH is taking DS1 to work tomorrow morning, hopefully he'll find something nice for breakfast on the way home! I will be finishing the essay that I have due in on Monday. I'm half way there and the remaining 1500 words should, hopefully, be relatively easy to pull together, DH will take DS2 for a haircut to keep him out the way for a while, then he has a party to go to in the afternoon. We're having homemade donner kebabs for dinner which are one of the very, very few nice things to come out of a foray into the cult of slimming world many years ago. Will try to snuggle up with DD and watch some Wednesday too.

Sunday I have to get up early to take DS2 to football day, luckily it's drop and go and I definitely will find something nice for breakfast on the way home. Then I'll cry, have a nervous breakdown and finally write some shite for the essay. Hopefully it'll be done before lunch time and I can then take Ddog on a nice walk before coming home and cooking roast gammon for dinner. Need to bake this weekend too to fill the freezer for lunches.

Not particularly exciting here to be honest! But it is mid-January so...

HelpIcantfindaname · 13/01/2023 22:42

Housework & washing in morning. Dropping teenagers off early afternoon, one bowling with friends, one shopping with her bestie.
Hubby & I need to look at finances & mortgage so will do that while kids are out, plus walk dog.
Tea time - off to visit my gorgeous new great grandson.
Sat evening - film or board game. DD14 got Cold Crime case for Christmas so we might have a go at solving that.
Sun - chill in am. In pm visit mam in care home while hubby watches match. Take mam for a walk depending on the weather.

DonkeyOatie · 13/01/2023 22:47

Spoons and bingo

HowCanIPayItForward · 13/01/2023 22:58

I'm completely wiped out from radiotherapy at the moment. So if I can cook a curry tomorrow and take DD to a Pizza Express party on Sunday that will be an achievement. Other than that I expect I'll be sleeping, reading, listening to audiobooks and playing a couple of board games with the DC.

GrohlOnAPole · 13/01/2023 23:04

The vast majority of the weekend is swimming lessons and birthday parties!
throw in some housework and hopefully a bit of quiet time for reading.

StickofVeg · 13/01/2023 23:13

Landing from a business trip at 6am on Saturday. Go home, do my laundry, try to make it through to 9pm then sleep!! Hopefully for ages.

89redballoons · 13/01/2023 23:14

Was meant to be going to an event at our local community orchard tomorrow, and Sunday lunch with an old friend, both with my 3yo and baby in tow. However it looks like 3yo has caught chickenpox from nursery, so my weekend will probably mainly be applying calamine lotion, watching cbeebies and trying to sort childcare for next week. Yay

Working and working 😩 don't get me wrong I love my job. The company not so much

Dowhahdiddy · 13/01/2023 23:18

I’m on holiday so I’ll be by the pool all weekend 😝

Yoloohno · 13/01/2023 23:24

Working all weekend on an early shift, should be in bed as up at 5.30, but not at all tired. I’m a night owl so early starts will mean I’ll be unable to do anything apart from working this weekend as I’ll be too tired.

OldTinHat · 13/01/2023 21:10

Nothing, nothing and nothing and feeling utterly fed up!

Three weeks of 'the germ' and Christmas on my own, was desperate to get out last week for a walk, had a dizzy spell, fell and fractured my bloody ankle!

Live on my own, can't drive, can't walk so more rubbish TV for me...sigh...! Please feel free to feel pity! 😁

Enjoy your weekends OP and PPs, I shall live life through you and food takeaways!!

Oh good, poor you! I also live alone and am injured (hamstring strain) so can't do what I normally do to pass the time - fell running and cycling. But at least I can go for a walk.

You must feel very trapped and fed up. Can you get a taxi to the cinema or something? I always find that a good trip out

vodkaredbullgirl · 14/01/2023 05:26

Sleeping after my 3rd night shift in a row.

ScabbyHorse · 14/01/2023 05:39

Sorting out my wardrobe in the morning, driving DS to the gym, a bit of music practice and then Japanese food and drinks in town with friends. On Sunday I'm hoping to have a walk then play some music in a pub on the seafront with some musicians from my old band.

Lovelycupofcoffee · 14/01/2023 06:18

Horse riding lesson . Then off to get my back looked at again as I’m suffering at the mo. Probably a visit to my mum as well . Also need to rejoin the gym but may put that off till payday

ClickClack1 · 14/01/2023 06:26

Took the dog for a walk on the beach this morning while DP had a surf. I was going to go for a swim too but it was a bit overcast so didn’t bother. Did a bit of gardening and chores. Sunday going to a different beach, they are having a bunch of food trucks there so will get something interesting for a late breakfast or lunch.

CheesyCrumpet · 14/01/2023 06:36

Hairdressers this morning then the rest of the weekend sat with my feet up binge watching TV and browsing the natternet.

TrianglePlayer · 14/01/2023 06:38

Working all day today but quite looking forward to it despite already having done a long week. Then drinking wine later and falling asleep in front of some mindless tv. Kids are old enough to do their own thing today and DH will hopefully tidy up the house a bit.

Llovecookies · 14/01/2023 06:46

I've got this nasty cold bug that's doing the rounds and ds has the shites. We are staying home today at least. I might mask up and pop to co op for supplies in a moment then home to camp out on the sofa. I want to watch the new Chippendales series but can't with ds !! So star wars it is.

Oysterbabe · 14/01/2023 06:48

Saturday is always a busy day with kids clubs and visiting grandma. Tomorrow will be quieter with a few chores and probably just the park or a bike ride.
