Not got much planned this weekend, feeling like I should be sociable but I don’t want to be!! What’s everyone else up to?

Generally knackered after the week tbh, it's the worst one of the year.

DS on scouts tonight so Bake Off repeats for me and DD

Lots of snow here so plenty of outdoor activities tomorrow 😃

OrangePomander · 13/01/2023 21:22

Absolutely nothing planned, other than a trip to the bottle bank to prevent the kitchen looking like a pub car park.
I’ve been working nearly every day since before Christmas and am absolutely wiped.

CoodleMoodle · 13/01/2023 21:24

Tomorrow is swimming lessons at 1pm for both DC(8&4), which usually ends up taking most of the afternoon. The lesson is only 30mins but between getting there, getting back, them both having baths and having their hair dried, it's usually way past 3pm by the time we're done.

It's apparently going to piss it down tomorrow so it'll be an indoor day apart from going swimming. Screens and board games, probably. Then much the same on Sunday (apart from the swimming!). I'm going for a run at some point, and we've got a bit of homework to do.

I’ll also visit my Mum who is in a nursing home both days……and probably catch her cold 😷

Busy social weekend for us, FILs 80th birthday so out for lunch then meeting up with best friend for Sunday lunch and shopping.

Got a load of jobs out of the way today, just need to get online grocery shop done tomorrow.

ssd · 13/01/2023 21:33

Doing a couple of jobs with dh tomorrow morning then meeting up with friends in the afternoon.
Then meeting another friend on Sunday. Not like me to be so sociable Smile

Ragwort · 13/01/2023 21:34

Nellie, what a kind thing to do, I am sure your friends will be very grateful. Caring for elderly relatives is so draining.

bloodywhitecat · 13/01/2023 21:43

I am going to see Small, my fosterling that I had for the first two and a half years of his life and has now got a new family. I love seeing him and I love watching him flourish with his new parents. I am very excited to see him.

TheChosenTwo · 13/01/2023 21:46

Had a lovely evening tonight, everyone has been out so it’s just been me, the fire and a Chinese takeaway. A few of the dc are back now though!
Tomorrow I’m visiting some of my favourite family who live quite far away so we don’t see each other as much as we’d like.
Sunday dh and I get up really early, I go to a spin class while he has a swim then we meet in the spa for an hour, home by 9 and the dc will all still be asleep! Then we have a family birthday to go to, one of us will need to go shopping for a present. Then home for a roast I guess.
Overall a really nice weekend lined up.

I'm wedding dress shopping.
I started last weekend and didn't enjoy it much.

Congratulations! That should be really fun! Why didn't you enjoy it?

allthegearandnoideaatall · 13/01/2023 21:47

Heading to town for a day with DD1 to see a show (matinee) tomorrow :)

Sunday walking a borrowed dog for the first time with DD2 for an owner who can’t walk due to an op. Can’t wait to meet her wee dog!

Parkrun, housework and going for a walk with a friend Sunday morning. Nothing other than that. Work has been full on so we all just need a weekend just pottering about! X

NellietheNumpty · 13/01/2023 21:18

I am granny sitting for a friend. They have a granny with memory loss and are away for the weekend.

That's so kind of you. 😍

BuddhaAtSea · 13/01/2023 21:49

Run first thing if it’s not too windy and I actually get up 😂. Walk the dog and brunch with friends. swimming straight after.
Then a huge pile of ironing whilst watching Netflix. Nap. Cook something like soup and a chilli.

Sunday DD and I are going shopping. Swim and sauna in the evening.

I know I should have made myself clean today. But I didn’t.

Slobbed tonight as gym, present shopping then MIL birthday meal tomorrow then Sunday gym, train MIL at home gym then a roast dinner and gaming with the bestie

Wildernesstips · 13/01/2023 21:53

@piedbeauty its in a field locally, and it’s a training session run by our town wildlife group. I’ve never done it before, but I think we learn how to spot their nests/signs so we can possibly survey other areas and report back.
