For a five guys? I'm really craving a five guys, said to my daughter we could go tomorrow night for dinner but she thinks driving 30 miles just for a five guys is ridiculous. I don't 😂. AIBU?

It's my time of the month and I also plan on starting healthy eating on Monday so I feel I'm having lots of unhealthy cravings the past few days.

You Live in London don't you? In Dorset 30 miles is just down the road. Wouldn't think twice about going that far for a coffee. 😆

Twospaniels · 05/01/2023 17:46

I live rurally, 30m is nothing. Just do it if you want it.

GaspingGekko · 05/01/2023 17:47

For 5 guys YABU

SerenaTee · 05/01/2023 17:47

Five Guys is delicious so I’d do it! What you planning on getting?!

NRCOA · 05/01/2023 17:48

If it was London it wouldn't be 30 miles to a Five Guys!

I've got 17 in a ten mile radius and I'm in extremely outer London.

Lockheart · 05/01/2023 17:49

30 miles there and 30 miles back? I sympathise but that's a long trip for a cheap burger. I'm with your daughter on this one!

piefacedClique · 05/01/2023 17:49

For a wagamamas yes…. Maybe not a 5 guys 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Funny our five guys is right next to a wagamamas. I tried wagamamas for the first time just before Xmas and wasn't a fan unfortunately.

That sounds crazy !

AuntieSoap · 05/01/2023 17:51

Do it! Of course it's ridiculous but so what? They're the best burgers anywhere.

IndieK1d · 05/01/2023 17:52

Get it delivered?

EndlessRain1 · 05/01/2023 17:53

30 miles each way? How long does it take (30 miles motor way vs 30 miles on smaller roads is a big difference).

I probably couldnt' be bothered just for that so would want to tie it in with something else. But not a huge fan.

feelingitalready · 05/01/2023 17:54

I'd do it and get a peanut butter milkshake while I'm there.

Fair point and I don't even know what a Five Guys is!

Poetnojo · 05/01/2023 18:24

30 mile round trip? Yeah I would no problem. 60 mile round trip? I still might but I'd be more reluctant.

LlynTegid · 05/01/2023 18:56

I wouldn't myself.

BrutusMcDogface · 05/01/2023 18:58

Could you combine it with a shopping trip or something? Cinema? To make it more worth the drive?!

Well there was one in Bournemouth last time I was there if you fancy a trip in Dorset! I didn't go but teenage nieces loved it.

girlmom21 · 05/01/2023 19:10

Our nearest Five Guys is about 25 miles away. I would.s

TerfOnATrain · 05/01/2023 19:11

Absolutely not.

I’ve had two in my life and I was bitterly disappointed both times.

I live in Manchester. Definitely wouldn't drive 30 miles for a burger! ☺️

Spectre8 · 05/01/2023 19:19

No, by the time I get there I'll end up not being hungry 😁

Poppyblush · 05/01/2023 19:21

I’m not saying anything (been there and eaten a little bacon cheeseburger with almost all the toppings, fries and a milkshake)…..

I'm in Dorset and can see a Five Guys from my window Grin
