These aren't the same boots are they?!

OK so I was looking at brown doc martens with my Christmas money.

THERE WERE THESE ON DM WEBSITE

AND THESE ON SCHUH

Now the ones on DM website, the chunky sole and tag is black.

The ones on SCHUH have a brown sole? And a brown tag

I like them much more but they've just arrived and the sole is black.

Am I going mad or are these two different shoes and SCHUH have sent me the ones that are the same as the DM site?

They say burgundy which I've always thought is red!

I’d say they are the same and it’s down to lighting. Funnily enough I have these open on a tab. Some reviews say they are a mare to break in?

I think it could be the lightness in the photos rather than the shoes.

They're a dream. I have 2 other pairs of sinclair and never got a mark.

They're milled leather so super soft.

One is a platform version (black sole) the browner sole is the non platform version

Look at the tags though.

Even the yellow is different

Not the same boots at all in my opinion. I don't think it's the lighting they don't have the same tags or one of them has a chunkier sole.

Plus they have different names so seems to be 2 different models of shoe.

Wlel they've sent me the black sole ones when I wnated the all brown :(

Am onto customer service chat now. I'm guessing if they send them out again they'll just be the same ones

I was looking at them in schuh the other day, they definitely had a black sole. Looking at the site on my pc now it is black, but on my mobile it does look a bit more brown

I bought the ones that are all brown.

DS chose some DMs from Schuh for Xmas and they had SO many varieties - literally every iteration of sole height, colour, stitching, buckles, boot height - I was surprised!

OK what about the laces...

You will need to break them in - wear thick socks and make sure they are laced correctly (my first pair turned up unlaced and killed me for months, turned out I'd laced them incorrectly. Watched a Utube video of how it should be done and they were fine after. I find they usually rub on the heels a bit until they soften in that area. I have three pairs now, love them!

Are they the ones with the removable zip? DD has a pair in black with black sole if you want a pic. I'd definitely say different boots.

I saw the burgundy with black sole on DM and didn't like them so went with schuh as theirs are all brown, but the others turned up.

Agree. Not just different lighting. In the schuh ones the soles are definitely brown.

I have the exact same advert and they are clearly not black on the sole when shown next to the other boots.

No wonder you're descending into madness at people continually telling you they are the same shoe. They so clearly aren't.
