Not kill them or do serious harm but if you had the chance to do voodoo and get back at those who wronged toy would you do it and you get to watch them in a crystal ball in pain?

I know it sounds cruel but I would, I've being wronged so many times by bullies and it would delight me to get revenge.

I would have thought yes but my first thought was no due to retribution

Reading fully the thread this seems less playful than I imagined I hope you get some help or peace in a non violent way OP.

Hi Op
This is my theory I think society sets template how we are expected to feel think about what is acceptable or not acceptable another words normal.!

Who and where has it come from to set the Adgenda of how society of how we should think feel then?

And do you think this is allways right then?

For e.g in Western society there has been a a social stigma towards someone struggling with mental health issues,
In Western world society there has been a tendency to see mental health as being a sign of weakness,
A skewed faulty way of thinking that society judges, , that people and emotions are seen almost separate entities for e.g like people are like Robot 🤖
Ok I am Obviously generalised this, but you get the picture,

Since the covid pandemic has happened, there has started to be marked shift that mental health is obviously related to Adverse (shit experiences/environment.

What I am saying I think it's healthy to have a wide range of emotions the good the bad and ugly (the shadow side)

For e.g in our culture Anger is often seen as negative and a emotion that is not acceptable for women to have,
When in reality, Anger is used in constructive its energy propels positive change, for e.g civil rights movement and the suffergates ect,
It's all about finding a balance, between range of emotions
For e.g even negative emotion for e.g Jealously if used Constructively, can be useful for e.g if you were envious of someone being happily married, ect,
this is obviously manifesting that something is missing in your life in some way,
therefore you can remedy this by being selective dating better men ect

Facecream · 05/01/2023 00:28

All the I hope you get peace etc posts are a tiny bit patronising… I doubt the Op means it seriously)even though I did, in my post up thread). I’m sure everyone knows a) it’s not possible b) we don’t actually know how we’d feel about any situation until we were in it c) getting irritated by a co-worker isn’t the same as having your life destroyed by someone..

Right… I came in expecting ‘Oh I’d make their big toe itch” and I got ‘I was able to inflict pain on a defenseless person’

Rather concerning if you ask me and I am the least likely winner of the Pollyanna award.

Joolsin · 05/01/2023 00:29

Oooh, yes, would be fun!!! Now, I wouldn't necessarily go for inflicting agonising pain - just twinges and suchlike.

This is a bit like playing what would your evil superpower be - mine would be just pointing at people that annoy me and they would be instantly transformed into a puddle of water, which then evaporates. So refreshing!

Want2beme · 05/01/2023 00:30

Nah.

PurpleSky300 · 05/01/2023 00:32

No, hurting somebody else will not heal you and just puts you next in line for 'karmic vengeance'.

I don’t think anyone is saying it’s unacceptable for a woman to feel anger. They’re saying it’s abnormal to fantasise about the pleasure you’d get from making others ‘scream in pain.’ That’s not normal, healthy, and it is in no way comparable to the reactions to injustice that led the suffragette movement.

Bigdamnheroes · 05/01/2023 00:35

Oh god yes. I have a mental list of people I'd punch, kill or shag if I found out I had like a week left to live.

chelle0 · 05/01/2023 00:36

Yeah I think so. Karma is doing a pretty good job at kicking them in the dick but I'd love to twist the knife a little deeper Grin

this the thread was meant to be a light hearted fantasy with a touch of malice to it but it's gone in a psycho analytical direction I was hoping people would avoid.

No never, not even on my worst enemy - the repayment is too high. Their is a price for everything that you do magically

eh what?

She’s right, I lost my wristwatch in a cauldron and dropped a heavy spell book on my foot, bruising my big toe when trying something similar.

Angry which is often viewed in very negative way, by our society, but when Anger emotion is used in healthy constructive way, it create positive beneficial change.

humans are not just essentialy all just good or all bad
They can be shades of grey on spectrum in between range of what society consirders to be good /evil

Also we can see what happens in society in which emotions are repressed or encouraged,
For e.g in our society there has been a tendency to encourage certain emotions to be less desirable for e.g if male there's attitude boys don't cry,
So boys/men discouraged from showing range of healthy emotions, hence Anger in a domineering emotion,

Also girls/women encouraged in our society to have femine characteristics for e.g be nice be kind, allways think of everybody before yourself being people pleasers often

So I think it's normal to feel real pissed off, even Angry if someone has hurt you or your family in real bad way,
It shows you as in individual that someone has transgressioned your boundaries/violated your emotional well being and or physically harmed you

It's Natural emotion that our societies have to rein in keep in check as if it was allowed to run riot the emotions of Anger and Revenge,
there would be Social Anarchy (social breakdown.

Keyansier · 05/01/2023 00:52

I've made two before! Neither people are in my life anymore nor have been for ages so I have no idea if they came across any misfortunes but I stuck so many pins in each so...fingers crossed😂

Devpatelslaughingeyes · 05/01/2023 00:54

Yep. A so called friend caused me more pain than I had ever experienced in my life. She set out purposely to destroy my career, take away my identity, and ruin everything possible that I had worked for and values. Do I feel warm and fuzzy towards her? Of course not. Would I voodoo her if I could? Absolutely. I would be happy for her to experience just 1/10th of what I went through. I wouldn’t piss on her if she was on fire.

Unfortunately none of this will happen. The OP’s post was hypothetical as are all the responses. Magic/voodoo doesn’t exist and the moralists on here can fuck right off with their patronising comments. Feelings are real and we are allowed to feel that way. Most of us, I’m guessing, have, like me moved on from those bad feeling's but since you were asking, yes, burn Fiona, burn.

Most days I’m a peace loving hippie but, well, the question was asked………

Goodread1 · 05/01/2023 00:58

Hi Op.

I every so often vist Antiques shops, I had opportunity of purchasing two Voodoo dolls from Victorian times if I So wish,

It was tempting, 😀 to buy one of them, as I have some serious issues in the past with my next door neighbour,

Yellownotblue · 05/01/2023 01:01

I wish I could use voodoo/magic to show a former colleague how much suffering he inflicted on me and other female colleagues - literally ruining the career of every senior female manager in our firm. I would like him to wake up every morning for the rest of his life and have that feeling of dread, guilt and humiliation in the pit of his stomach, knowing how much destruction and pain he’s caused.

As it doesn’t exist, I’m waiting for him to die and will go pissing on his tombstone.

<I may or may not be joking>
