The weirdest thing…I’ve just read about her pregnancy, saw the pictures of her in the snow with her little ones..and just had a massive pang of envy.
Never had that before about Stacey Solomon..just seems nice, the young kids…all the money
Very grateful for my Dd, 4, but can’t have more and would love more. Very grateful to have a roof over our heads and doing ok..but would love more!
I’m not an envious/jealous person normally so it’s taken me a bit by surprise, I’ve also never been interested in S.S either way, although she seems a nice person I suppose 🤷🏻‍♀️
Weird!

I used to think Stacey was lovely but unfollowed when she started hanging about with the vile Miss Greedy and her vile partner.

That’s incredibly odd. I think you need to put your phone down for a while. Maybe get some fresh air.

I think she’s nice but I can’t believe she’s gotten away with being so blatantly fake- remember her on the singing show when she acted so dumb she couldn’t string a sentence
together? Now look at her. It was all fake.. so I wonder what she’s faking now.

She was a teenager then, she's now in her thirties. I assume she's matured?

Iamnotausername · 29/12/2022 09:40

Plus, can you imagine people being so insulting and
openly hostile about your partner and thinking it's OK because you are seen as
and seen "public property"?

Yes, they chose to put themselves there (and work hard to stay there) but when people are searching for the floor plans of your house and publicly criticising your parenting decisions there isn't much to be envious about.

EdieLedwell · 29/12/2022 09:43

Loving the casual hate for red heads on this thread. As another poster pointed out, no one seems to notice (or give a shit) when it happens.

AriettyHomily · 29/12/2022 09:44

Wowzers the jealousy on this thread.

Same situation. One DS. Highly unlikely to have more. I felt the same. Seems like a lovely person, but 5 kids? All I wanted was one more. C’est la vie, but it still sucks!

Felt the same. But she is a lovely girl.

Ramsbottom · 29/12/2022 09:45

Some of these comments are really unpleasant. I understand it’s envy driving them, but it’s not ok to rip another woman apart like that. She’s clearly far from thick and she shows parts of her life that she wishes, she’s not famous for insta, but she does many presenting roles. And good for her.

i wish them all well. Another child is a blessing and they are clearly delighted.

BenCoopersSupportWren · 29/12/2022 09:46

MabelMoo23 · 28/12/2022 23:07

My first thought was “fucking hell, 5 children” but then actually I very quickly reminded myself how many children someone has is no one else’s business.

While I'm certainly not advocating a China-style one child policy or anything like that, I don't think it's unreasonable to feel somewhat judgmental about a couple choosing to have a fifth child while we hurtle towards a potential environmental catastrophe and it's well known having children is one of the worst things we can do, environmentally-speaking, at an individual level. I'm sure most of us would judge a neighbour for repeatedly chucking their recycling into the landfill bin, and having five kids will have a substantially worse impact on the planet than that would!

Ineverwannabelikeyou · 29/12/2022 09:48

Wow aren't people awful. Not you, op. I too felt a little bit jealous, not because I don't think they deserve it or anything, just because maybe I'd have preferred a different life.

I don't think people should be making vicious comments though, I'm sure the people slagging off Joe don't know him personally and taste is frankly personal, isn't it? I wonder if she makes nasty comments about others on the internet? I doubt it somehow.

blebbleb · 29/12/2022 09:54

Can't say I'm envious to be honest, 5 kids sounds like a nightmare even if you're loaded. I have 1 and hope to have another but I've never really been envious of other people to that extent where it's bothered me. There's always someone better off and a lot worse off. They don't seem to be particularly bright even though I'm sure they can provide for their children which is the main thing. This trend of having 4/5 kids is a bit weird to me.

oreste · 29/12/2022 09:58

She is really part of the wave of go-getting Essex stars who broke into reality TV via TOWIE and other shows. They do come across as thick but extremely driven to make money and get deals. Like the others Faiers, Mccann, Collins and so on, I don't think they have any talents. They were just considered interesting to market to viewers at the right time.

Agreed, it's very hurtful.

Abouttimemum · 29/12/2022 10:01

When I see anyone that already has children announce another pregnancy I always just wonder how on earth they can even be bothered to have sex 🤣

WetLettuce2 · 29/12/2022 10:03

I felt like this when Katie Price was having her 3rd, like how nice it must be to have everything- loving husband who wants more kids, big house, loadsa money and amazing holidays.

I got over it !

Ineverwannabelikeyou · 29/12/2022 10:03

Does it make people feel better calling them thick or not that bright? As for the red head comments, how vile. I didnt think my little boy would be subjected to that kind of thing in this day and age, seems there are more awful people around than I thought.

snowsilver · 29/12/2022 10:04

I don't do instagram or follow her but I watched her Christmas craft programme. I think she's adorable.

rainbowstardrops · 29/12/2022 10:05

Some of the messages on here are awful and I assume many are fuelled by jealousy or envy.

I think she comes across as lovely and down to earth and very grateful for what she has.

I'm not sure I particularly envy her lifestyle when you get threads like this picking her apart and yes, she does post quite a lot on Instagram but it sounds like she has to put up with a lot of trolling on there, so no, it wouldn't be for me.

Love her house though!

mydogisthebest · 29/12/2022 10:05

No way would I envy someone stupid enough to think 5 children is a good idea

Ijuststoodonlego · 29/12/2022 10:06

I find three DCs a handful and I do ask the same question as @Abouttimemum !!

Good on Stacey though. Children are hard work but blessings and she seems happy.

oreste · 29/12/2022 10:06

Her kids are photogenic and the dopey anecdotes/nesting at Pickle Cottage/crafting insta stories are a big part of what generates income for the family as a whole.
I would exclude the cooking. She massacred Bake Off: The Professionals. Those constantly recycled silly jokes about being unable to pronounce French patisserie names really grated. If she stays off that show then I'll be her cheerleader for that alone!

Didchristmasreallyhappen · 29/12/2022 10:14

@Ineverwannabelikeyou Thats it, what life could’ve been. Maybe if I’d started ttc earlier I may have had a chance at more, I wouldn’t want 5 kids without all that money though. It’s the money aspect which makes it look so much easier/better

Ineedtosleep79 · 29/12/2022 10:15

I wouldn't be too jealous, she's going be exhausted! Having just one child has it's benefits you know... the grass isn't always greener. Concentrate on the benefits of just having one.

I was thinking this too. Making comments about red hair? Still? People never do change.
