I don't want to start a UCM type thread but it just struck me how prety much everyone i saw at the shops earlier was foreign.

no one seemed to be speaking English at all.

Us being British people nothing to do with colour of SKIN! No they are just examples of why some people feel this way! I have put my point across and you have all turned it into me being a racial hate campaign which is clearly not what I am doing! SO I bid you farewell for the 100th time!

WilyWombat · 21/08/2008 16:55

Ahh but its very easy to look at the bigger picture from the rosy glow of your own home.

I dont agree with most of what shorty is saying but then I dont live her life so my view is going to be different.

pagwatch · 21/08/2008 16:57

um
you have bid farwell 100 times and yet strangely you are still here.
Its like a little christmas miracle

Aww leave her alone - you have to admire her persistence if nothing else

Shorty84 · 21/08/2008 17:01

Earlsfield Primary school last year would not allow the kids to do the Nativity Play last year or have Christmas dinner!

Parents Petitioned against this and was told that any child that did not do the alter play they had set up would not be allowed to go to the school disco! Also Swaffield Primary school in Wandsworth was the same!

cestlavie · 21/08/2008 17:02

True WW - she is persistently half-witted

MrsMattie · 21/08/2008 17:03

I bet the Poles weren't happy about that, either!

oh don't worry.
I like christmas miracles .
All that mystery and childlike wonder.

Shorty84 · 21/08/2008 17:06

Cestlavie you call me a half wit because I dont agree with you! I am just giving examples as someone said it was bullshit ! You can come with ya watless insults but thats all you got!

hercules1 · 21/08/2008 17:07

PErsonally I think it's great if schools are doing away with nativities. There are countless alternatives most of which are far more interesting.

hercules1 · 21/08/2008 17:10

Jesus was a jew and a foreigner.

CaptainFabioHiltsTheCoolerCat · 21/08/2008 17:10

shorty are you attached to your computer with a bungee rope?

hercules1 · 21/08/2008 17:10

I also expect he'd have got asylum here too.

Shorty84 · 21/08/2008 17:11

It has been good hearing your views and this thread has defo took my mind off them F8ck*ing poles chatting to fast and loud across the office! But its home time now and I got better things to do at Home than sit on Mnet! so thanks for ya views Maybe I should sit on the fence like you lot maybe then I would not be bothered! about things like this hmmm Food for thought! night All

WilyWombat · 21/08/2008 17:11

There is a fine line between persistence and dogged ignorance in the presence of evidence contrary to your beliefs.

There is also a fine line between showing intelligence and being a little condescending

I really have been on too long...time to get on with RL

Leave the nativity alone im an aetheist but it still gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling (as long as they dont drag it on too long)

cestlavie · 21/08/2008 17:11

Actually Shorty, my illiterate little friend, I've tried to have a discussion which encompasses your slightly insane views. I'm guessing though that they went a little bit over your head as you seem much happier to throw out utterly random and generally incorrect examples of what you wrongly perceive to be examples of immigrants lording it over the English.

hercules1 · 21/08/2008 17:12

So you've been paid to mumsnet today whilst moaning about other people in your office getting paid to work

Shorty84 · 21/08/2008 17:13

LOL! Hercules1 Everyone in my office is either on Mumsnet or hotmail or facebook as it seems we just aint busy and none of P Traders are calling in with bloody orders! O well be back tomorrow i am sure!

There's also a fine line between fishing and standing by the side of a river looking like a twunt...

MrsMattie · 21/08/2008 17:15

Bye Shorty. Don't forget - if in doubt, blame those Polish Islamists. Or the smurfs. Or Gordon.

pagwatch · 21/08/2008 17:16

rolf at the poles shouting across the office.
