Mamazon, I was disappointed when I gave birth in hospital, and everyone helping me (and they did a good job, so nothing to do with that) was foreign. It was purely because I was in a vulnerable situation, wanted to know what was going on, and nobody spoke English so I couldn't make myself understood, and neither could they.

That was a real problem. I don't like being a tourist when everyone around me is talking a foreign language. I suppose I am the kind of person who panics when communication is difficult.
