Sage green dress drama - Bride

Bride wants me to send a picture over of what I've chosen

I must wear a dress that's sage green. So must DD and DS (wear sage green). DD has to wear a dress but is exempt (bride's words) from wearing ballet slippers because she isn't walking yet

The men must wear any suit colour but black, with a sage green tie.

AIBU to tell her I can't find anything in my size really that's sage green? Blush

She wants me to send pictures of what I've chosen for the kids before they turn up on the day

Is this strange? Every wedding I have been too in the last decade had a colour theme. Not compulsory but it's nice to match or tone with the bridal party and general decor of the venue.

Yes, very strange. I've been to about 40 weddings. I've never been asked to match what I'm wearing to any theme and I'd not react well to any such request.

I would send the bride a message- “hi bride, I’m struggling to find an outfit to meet your colour criteria. There aren’t that many options in my size and price range. I’m sure I’m not the only one ( slightly worried all the larger ladies will turn up in the same dress!). Do you have any recommendations or is there a range of colours you are happy with, or is it literally just sage green only?”

open up her to the idea at least that it might end up with her choosing between having all her friends and family around her, or her photos looking great.

Why are you all indulging this selfish demanding nonsense from the bride?! Just nod and smile and then wear whatever you want on the day. Silly cow telling all to buy a special outfit, as though going to a wedding wasn't expensive enough in itself

I have just bought a dress linked on here. Paid double the original price linked elsewhere but I do love it

Sorry I'm no help. I always get it wrong on guess the size /age stuff. Not famliar with the brand either. Maybe others will know if sizing is accurate or generous.

I think it's a bit much that the bride is insisting you send a pic to her, what happens if she doesnt like your choice of dress?
