...for starting that thread when I didn't believe you existed (and I genuinely didn't). I've done some proper research now, and realise that you are real person with fantastic real achievement. I apologise unreservedly for my previous thread, which was genuinely not designed to get at you since I did not believe you existed. I am aghast and incredibly impressed at how much you have achieved, and look forward to sparring with you again some time...

Hmmm, I was wondering after reading this if Xenia was someelse from another blog, (this makes sense to me, possibly nobody else . The last post confirms it. I haven't noticed any of her posts before, but there couldn't be 2 people like her.. No offence.

It was called "I no longer believe in Xenia", Xenia. As far as I'm concerned I was not being nasty, merely expressing that you were in fact a real person. A lot of people stood up for you (quite warmed the cockles actually), a few confirmed that you did in fact, exist.

I challenged by assumption that you were the product of the fevered imagination of an underemployed hack (a la "Alice Band" style), did about five minutes' research, discovered the gravity of my error, and asked for it be taken down. Which it was when MNHQ got back from the park.

Most of the people posting on it were actually
a) how refreshing it was to have you express your views freely
b) that you gave loads of women hope that having it all was in fact possible
c) that you uber-gracious at all times and a jolly good egg.

Which made me worry even more that you might have been upset by the contention that you did not exist, so I started this one to apologise to you, in case you had seen the other one. I did not ask for this one to be removed, because I strongly felt that I should apologise to for the aforementioned, and no way was the other thread going to become a guilty secret. It was an error of judgment, and I don't believe in hiding those. Not that it would have been hidden.

I actually believe in apologising when I have been wrong, not hiding and hoping for the best.

I am sorry you did not see the last one, Xenia, because I actually think you would have found it quite amusing in places, and pretty comforting. To be honest, about from the subtly different wordings of my OPs, they are turning out to be kissing cousins.

gees- you'd think a translator would also proofread before hitting post, wouldn't you? Anybody needing clarification on any of the massively hacked about items in my previous posting, please just ask.

cocolepew · 04/02/2008 18:21

Usually only read it, posted a couple of times using a name (already used) and a number, I'm more of BB person myself

duchesse · 04/02/2008 18:21

Errata:

I was expressing doubt that you were a real person

b) ...to have it all and be successful

Xenia Said - What we need to get away from is women who say nice things to each other all the time at the school gates etc behind very very fake smiles whilst thinking completely the opposite of what they say and avoiding confrontation at all costs. It doesn't serve them well in life or at work and it's a form of dishonesty - this pretending we agree with everyone thing. The less you see it on mumsnet the better.

LEM totally agrees. Now theres a turn up.

Xenia was on a thread of mine just recently, she didnt mince her words. She just told it like it is. At first my hackles rose, but she was RIGHT, which was probably why i felt initially cross. But i might even follow her advice..........THUD

LEM falls over!

Lol, sorry, I have really only posted 2 or 3 times on it. I'm nowhere near a regular on it!

Judy1234 · 04/02/2008 19:56

Housewifery as a dishonest form of prostitution is not something invented by me - you give sex and serve men for money etc.

I see you will be able to claim benefits for multiple spouses where you legally marry more than one abroad. Find me a country where multiple husbands are allowed by law.

hunkermunker · 04/02/2008 19:56

How could anyone be arsed with multiple husbands, though?

Jeez, the fights over the remote would be legendary, for a start.

Judy1234 · 04/02/2008 20:00

One would play with the children. One would do the housework and DIY. One would be reserved for intellectual conversation and another one for bed.

cocolepew · 04/02/2008 20:01

I didn't say it was invented by you. You just like to bring it up. A lot.

duchesse · 04/02/2008 20:02

Would they all just hang around cluttering up the house, or would they go and do things sometimes? Cos, damn, four husbands?

OP posts:
Habbibu · 04/02/2008 20:03

Would the three not reserved for bed not get mightily pissed off?

cocolepew · 04/02/2008 20:06

They could take it in turns, like Girls of the Playboy Mansion.

Not that I've ever watched it, of course

Quattrocento · 04/02/2008 20:09

I think it would be okay providing you could keep them in cells.

MrsJohnCusack · 04/02/2008 20:13

this 'give sex' thing is really weird
I don't 'give sex' any more than DH does

but at multiple husbands. THink how much stuff you'd have to find every day

clam · 04/02/2008 20:22

So, that's 2DCs, plus 4 husbands creating 4x more hassle and mess than the DCs? No thanks.
