I'm home alone today. I've warmed up some tinned mixed beans and mixed them with Ainsley's spicy cuppa soup and a Heinz tomato cuppa soup. I'm lazy aren't I? Not usually this lazy and enjoy cooking I just really cba.
Eating this in a bowl.
Any Royle family fans, this is cuppa soup with a big twist 🤣

Fried egg sandwich! With lots of salt and pepper. But oh my goodness the ideas on this thread are amazing!

takealettermsjones · 13/12/2022 19:10

Just remembered how much I love the Whole Earth peanut butter!

Kapalika · 13/12/2022 19:10

Instant noodles of any kind or a fried egg toasted sandwich. Sometimes add some fake cheese too.

Tirrrrred · 13/12/2022 19:18

Pasta and cheese

I realise that my favourite part of a curry is dipping the naan in sauce. So if on my own I skip all the chicken, veg, rice etc and just eat 2 naans with curry sauce to dip them in.

This is basically all I order from the Indian takeaway now. One of their massive garlic and cheese naans and a tub of curry sauce (I usually go for a korma). It's cheaper and I prefer the naan to the meat in a curry anyway and I never eat the rice if I have a naan.

Pasta beans and cheese, the ultimate comfort meal

YukoandHiro · 13/12/2022 19:27

Boiled pasta with marmite and cheese melted in

Ratched · 13/12/2022 19:31

Jacket spud, tin of Stag chilli, sour cream, guacamole.

10 minutes job, delicious 😁

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 13/12/2022 20:01

Big packet of bourbon biscuits (sometimes custard creams) that I can eat whilst lying on my side in bed while watching telly.
Preparation is pretty straightforward, I just take them up with me the night before.
The Cleaner sweeps the crumbs out of the bed for me, when I pop to the loo, and they go in the budgies feeder (the crumbs not the Cleaner!)
No waste and the minimum of energy expended (except for the Cleaner who has to traipse up and down four flights of stairs to my boudoir).

FlorenceOrTheMachine · 13/12/2022 20:06

Heinz baked beans with pork chipolatas, cold and straight from the tin (I at least use a fork). What's worse I'm vegetarian. What a slob!

Wrinklydinkly · 13/12/2022 20:09

Can we be friends! I do this too 😆

It's like being a kid at a party and you're allowed to eat ALL of the cheese and pineapple! Sore tongue if you overdo it though.

LubaLuca · 13/12/2022 20:24

Weetabix and Wotsits. I can't be bothered to make even a sandwich when I'm on my own.

caringcarer · 13/12/2022 20:30

@CuriousMama, no I drive him 3 days a week and it is 2 1/2 hours to drop off and another 2 1/2 to collect but I usually go home in between. I also have to do 2 hours round trip to drop at cricket centre twice a week and 2 hours to collect but DH collects him on Fridays so I only have to drop in morning. Today he only did half day so no time to drive home. I am his Foster Carer so it's my job because he can't cope with public transport. I don't mind because he is doing brilliantly at the college. So much better than at his special school he used to go to. He is achieving at the Sports BTech he is studying and more than that he is enjoying it and beginning to speak to other students. He even sat next to someone for lunch last week one day. No college on Thursday or Friday as lecturers on strike but he told me he is WFH. He said he knows what he has got to do on his assignment. He likes they learn a bit then he writes about it. Everything is broken down in chunks. He loves the practical sport and he is very good at most sports especially cricket. The best bit is if he passed this year, which he looks set to do he can study the double Level 3 Sports BTech course next year and the year after. I never dreamed he could accomplish so much as he has a learning Disability and nothing comes easy for him. He has to work his socks off for every little achievement academically. Cricket comes easily for him though.
