I'm home alone today. I've warmed up some tinned mixed beans and mixed them with Ainsley's spicy cuppa soup and a Heinz tomato cuppa soup. I'm lazy aren't I? Not usually this lazy and enjoy cooking I just really cba.
Eating this in a bowl.
Any Royle family fans, this is cuppa soup with a big twist 🤣

This is even better if you stir a plastic cheese slice into the noodle broth.

I think we all know what will be happening tomorrow!!!

StarCourt · 13/12/2022 17:12

crisp sandwich

My mother offered me a SUGAR SANDWICH the last time I stayed with her 😱

oakleaffy · 13/12/2022 17:28

Instant noodles- Someone gave me some recently , so went and bought some.
HOWEVER!
There is a definite taste difference between the more expensive ones and cheaper ones.
Chinese ones seem firmer textured and with a nicer flavoured soup base.

That brings back memories. What did you say?

I've been known to make a sachet of instant mash in a jug, add some butter and cheese and eat it with a spoon.
I'm also a terrific cook, but sometimes just nope.

unsync · 13/12/2022 17:34

Rice pudding straight from the tin.

anotherdayanotheralias · 13/12/2022 17:45

Instant noodles, tin of tuna, mix with some sauce from the fridge.

SerenaTee · 13/12/2022 17:48

Cook pasta then add a large dollop of pesto from a jar, stir and eat.

Cook plain noodles then add sweet chilli sauce and soy sauce, stir and eat.

Boil 2 eggs, mash them up using a fork while stirring in butter and salt, eat with toast.

Do crisps count?

I was going to say gin and crisps

caringcarer · 13/12/2022 17:59

This morning I took foster son with learning disability to college. It is 1 1/2 hours from where we live. I had to colle t hi. Again 3 hours later as a half day today. I popped into a Toby Carvery and got a breakfast as not time to go home and back again. Was very nice and leisurely to drink 3 cups of coffee.

DC1214 · 13/12/2022 18:05

Spaghetti with dried chilli flakes and Parmesan. Like spaghetti aglio e olio but without even the hassle of chopping garlic. Tho I’m dairy free just now on account of allergy baby, cheese on pasta is the main thing I miss.

Smoked salmon, fresh salmon, black pepper, lemon, Mayo and a handful of baby leaves.

Glass of champagne

Mmmm..

I like your style.

Rediscovered tinned Ravioli which I hadn't had since I was a kid. It was as delightful as I thought it would be.

Is it still so soft it barely needs chewing?

UnsolicitedOpinions · 13/12/2022 18:17

I realise that my favourite part of a curry is dipping the naan in sauce. So if on my own I skip all the chicken, veg, rice etc and just eat 2 naans with curry sauce to dip them in.

VinoDino · 13/12/2022 18:19

@MrsDanversGlidesAgain no chewing necessary. Slides right down.

CrownTheTurkey · 13/12/2022 18:19

Pasty and frozen chips done in the air fryer, with gravy made from granules.
Ten minutes later I'm tucking in.
I use a liner so I don't even have to wash it afterwards.

This DIY dhal is a game changer
www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/dal_in_a_dash_51198

No onions, no veg, no tomatoes, no chopping. Just put water, lentils and spices in a pot and boil.
I keep a pre mixed jar of the spices in my cupboard for when I'm feeling lazy.
Then, with the energy I've saved, mix flour and water to make chapattis. Soo cheap too.

Tin of spam, cut into cubes sprinkle cheese on top...and that's it.

Don't tell DP.
He only knows that I make lovely meals with lots of time effort and love.
But when I'm solo...I'm gross😂

Sounds lovely. Do you have to do that often?

Frozen gnocci, tortellini or ravioli cooks in three minutes, drain then stir in a spoonful or so of red pepper pesto, or if no pesto a spoon or two of one of those dip selections they sell in segmented pots in supermarkets. The sour cream and chive ones work particularly well. Bit of grated cheese.

maddy68 · 13/12/2022 18:39

Jacket potato done in the micro. Middle scooped out mixed with cheese and onionband butter and put back inside.

Put in the air fryer for 6-7 mins. Omg. Literally the best

FrostyLadyBoutique · 13/12/2022 19:00

Peanut butter and jam sandwiches:

Whole Earth smooth, lots of

St Dalfour raspberry, lots of

Jackson’s brown super-seeded bread, 4 slices

Very easy, satisfying, and reasonably nutritious. Have a nice nap after.

ODFOx · 13/12/2022 19:05

The tinned 'light lunch' John West meals are awesome. Tuna or salmon with grains or pasta, some veg and a dressing.

Now I have to go get a fork, whereas before they came with their own disposable fork so I didn't even need to open the cutlery drawer.
Or oven cooked scampi in a bowl with a dip pot of sauce for dipping.
