As a British person, I don’t get it either and there are lots of British people who feel similarly
Same here.
I was staying with a close friend the weekend the Queen died. At one point she was screaming profanities at the TV and when I asked her what was the matter (we were also getting ready to go out), she said H&M and started a major rant. She has a busy life, plenty of interests, but was so agitated by these people that she doesn’t know!
I really don’t understand her! I have been messaging her today. One of her replies was ‘I am watching H&M and screaming at the TV’. Why, just why?
I will be out with a small group of local friends before Christmas. One in particular will spend time slagging off M, she did last time we were out, just after funeral (did you see her smirk, did you see this, that & the other). Surely when socialising with friends we see 3-4 times a year, there is so much more to talk about than bitching about people we don’t know, have never met and never likely to!
I like these friends, but just can’t understand why they are obsessed with H&M, (mind you, they are also obsessed by celebrity shows, which I don’t get either!)
