Long story short.

My exh is self employed. Pays the minimum they can get.

I've had a variation applied every year. Every year it comes back he should be paying more. Nothing ever gets done.

Ever. He owes £11k to my daughter.

He was supposed to pay £300 this month as I'd had a variation applied again. They sent £140.

I am so sick of this.

Every month I call them and say he hasn't paid the full amount. Every month they add it to the debt they never do fuck all about.

My aibu is nothing really just what the actual can I do.

I'm sick of this.

I just wanted a rant.

I've been to court, the amount has been applied by the court. He doesn't pay it ever. He didn't even turn up to any of the hearings.

I am sooo sick of it.

I want this fucker to pay because what he owes her would pay for her uni fees or a house deposit or anything really for her.

Why is our system so fucked up that nothing is ever fucking done.

I'm just on my last nerve and I'm sick of them doing fuck all.

If I contact my mp can anyone help me with a letter?

This is shit. I don't "Need" it but ffs she will one day.

I'm just so angry tonight about it all. I will need to spend another two hours on hold to the CMS again tomorrow and they will just mark it down on my case and do fuck all again.

Is there anyone who can help me.

Is there a csa person who can do an ama so I can understand why it's so shit for the resident parent.

I'm so glad it worked out in your case. Does help when they have some assets. Deliberately avoiding men are smarter these days though. My ex doesn't own his home and anything of value will be in his girlfriends name (car etc). It's easier now - men can go online for tips and advice on how to avoid paying at all costs. Those determined enough will never pay

The venomous fathers for justice site are very erm helpful via their forum for this. "I'm not a cash machine" was a particularly admiral campaign.

In a different type of incompetence, I’ve ended up with a ridiculous situation where it basically says my weekly owed maintenance is £100, so my payment schedule is £250 per month. They take the money from him and pass it to me.
I’ll spend hours on hold waiting to speak to somebody, they’ll eventually agree that it doesn’t make any sense, and that it’s just increasing arrears further (£3k & counting) but then say that the computer system works it all out and there’s nothing anybody can do. They often struggle to understand that I’m not disputing the annual amount, just the nonsensical payment schedule.

My ex is PAYE, hasn’t moved jobs, hasn’t attempted to hide (he’s too lazy for that). If they can’t sort this situation out correctly, what hope does anyone else have?

Regarding a petition, there was a petition about this a few months ago on the government Petitions website, which may have been discussed in parliament I think. I signed petition, but have not heard anything changing.

Dads (or any non resident parent, including women/mothers), who don't pay are scum of the earth, and should be treated as such. Jail them, seize their assets, go after their benefits, bank accounts.

This can not go on, it's the children that suffer in the end.

@Mydogatemypurse thank you so much I would really appreciate that. Your very kind! I would love for you to help me. Thank you.

Is there any kind of second stage to this... like if a petition is brought up again and again?

I will help as much as I can. These men are ruining lives and childhoods.

@Mydogatemypurse

Regarding the petition, just checked the government petitions website.....
so there has been in the past closed petitions for making non payment of child maintenance a criminal offence as well as another petition to reform the child maintenance service so it's fit for purpose. But unfortunately there has not been enough signatures for it to be debated in parliament. I think it would need to reach about 100,000 signatures, but any petitions about child maintenance reach about 5,000 maximum.

I don't know what the next steps are. Someone has suggested making the staff from child maintenance service aware of their powers, what they're able to do etc. So they can enforce things more.

Or another petition which has high numbers of publicity/social media coverage?

The CSA have ruined so many lives.
Many years ago DH got a letter from them stating that he had been namedBy a woman as the probable father if her child. Apparently they were targetting all men whose christian name was spelt the same way as DHs.
Furious DH had an argument on the phone with them, saying that it have caused a lot of trouble between us.
They just said it wasn't their problem if 'your spouse gets upset '

Depressing to read that women are facilitating men avoiding paying for their kids by having money paid into their accounts etc. Imagine helping someone to deprive their children like that? Not sure why this bothers me so much - I think I must apply higher standards to women! My own dad was a deadbeat alcoholic who left the country to avoid paying for me.
