Lots of debate in previous months about the high profile marriage split of a famous (ish) Welsh actor, who got his big break with a bit part in the Titanic movie. He has spent the last year doing no work, no childcare and just traveling around the world with his new girlfriend who appears to also have no job.

And now he seems to have admitted that his living expenses are being funded by his poor partner who is also battling a challenging life-changing illness.

I think she’s capable of absolutely anything in her quest to destroy Ioan for leaving her. I truly hope those children are removed from her ASAP.

If the roles were reversed with these two I can absolutely see people rushing to protect her for fear he'd stalk her to the point of murdering her. That is how obsessive and quite frankly worrying the evidence against her in the court documents is. It's why there is a restraining order against her.

He fled the family home because of domestic abuse, leaving his belongings behind and rented a flat nearby. As for the meetings with his children, you’ve no idea if/why any of the dates were cancelled as that’s not been made public. You only have Alice’s word that he cancelled and it’s her who has alienated the children for so long.

It’s terrifying isn’t it? Her only purpose in life now seems to be to destroy him, no matter what. She’s already ruined herself financially as she’s spent all his money and will likely end up having to pay him back some of this from her settlement. She won’t leave that house quietly when it is sold either.

I think she needs to be jailed for her repeated breaches of the DVRO. It’s not worth the paper it’s written on otherwise.

Lots of actors have done it. If you do a "where are they now" many have gone into obscurity and living life doing normal jobs.

It did happen, he says himself in the court documents say they’ve been living together since his return from France.

Again, in the court documents, contact was scheduled to begin on X date, and after one contact sesssion, he is in Australia visiting his girlfriend’s family on what should have been his contact date with the girls.

Since he can’t be in Australia and LA at the same, it’s safe to assume he cancelled contact that week, unless you think he just didn’t bother showing up?

I guess the same would apply to Ioan then, since he is having such trouble finding a job that his girlfriend is paying his living expenses.

I'd agree that they both need to consider other types of work if acting is not earning a sufficient amount to live on. That said, even if they both got full time work in Walmart or similar tomorrow they still won't be able to afford to pay for the house and it needs to be sold.

Alice has lots of skills she could utilise, she's well educated and speaks more than one language. I'm sure there are lots of things she could turn her hand to.

It’s not their home, it’s his home. For someone so knowledgeable you don’t seem to remember that their ‘mother’ has alienated them from him since he has the audacity to leave her. You’ve no idea that they had any visits planned when he was in Australia, nor why they may have been cancelled. Those children are having to undergo reunification therapy because of the damage Alice has inflicted on them. This isn’t your standard ‘visit dad at the weekend’ setup. They don’t have regular visits or overnight stays, because their ‘mother’ prevents it.

If you have really read all the available documents and you still blame Ioan then I think you are as bad as Alice and I pray you never fall victim to an abusive narcissist.

No. It is their home, which he chose to leave. They are their kids, whom he chose to leave in the care of someone he claims is abusive towards them.

Californian law expects BOTH partners to support themselves so Ioan Gruffudd should also be looking for work iWalmart if he really can’t find work as an actor.
