Lots of debate in previous months about the high profile marriage split of a famous (ish) Welsh actor, who got his big break with a bit part in the Titanic movie. He has spent the last year doing no work, no childcare and just traveling around the world with his new girlfriend who appears to also have no job.

And now he seems to have admitted that his living expenses are being funded by his poor partner who is also battling a challenging life-changing illness.

Alice certainly can't afford the house, he's showing to the court that he can't. He pays Alice's and the children's health insurance, private school fees etc. He's putting it to the court that he can no longer do that. Which is his right. Alice needs to face up to working.

Alice doesn’t sound very nice. And even in sweltering California, their home is in swanky La Jolla which is on the ocean right by San Diego. But the power bill is almost $5000? That’s just excessive and there’s really no excuse. Like she’s purposely wasting energy. That’s the sort of energy bill for a small hotel.
And also, $2million in LaJolla isn’t all that fancy, considering they’ve got homes there going for $20million and up.

Wasn't he granted a restraining order against Alice? And it seems he's been paying all of her and the children's expenses (including a nanny despite Alice not working) for nearly two years?

It seems entirely sensible to me that they sell the property and downsize to provide adequate housing for each of them and the DC.

There is decent equity in the house by the looks of things, entirely possible he has agreed to pay her back once the house is sold. She is unwell and we don't know what level of day to day support she might require, that might impact his ability to work.

I think it's a bit of a stretch to make too many assumptions. The court will have all the info, they'll take a view.

He has no money because Alice has been spending like she’s married to Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise (not a B list TV actor) while not earning anything herself. If the house is sold and the equity divided, IG will easily be able to pay back his new partner.

I strongly suspect a big reason IG can’t get work is because no one wants Alice’s social media vindictiveness and outright lies directed at their project. She is a living example of cutting off her nose to spite her face, having successfully sabotaged his ability to earn money and therefore fund her lifestyle (which he has been doing for years).

Did you start this thread in an attempt to hide the fact that court documents show Alice has been stealing Ioan’s money while hiding her own? Did you miss the part where is states he has paid every bill for the house, her and their children while she lies in bed, drugged and pissed daily? Did you miss the last set of court documents outlining the abuse she has directed at him and their children?

Alice is an absolute disgrace of a woman and I hope his house is sold ASAP, all the money she stole from him is returned and she has to move to the area of LA where 70% of children speak English as a second language, that she was so afraid of doing. Racist bitch to boot.

Alice has a permanent domestic violence restraining order against her. The court docs and evidence are in the public domain, along with evidence of her abusing him and their daughters.

I’ve been following the car crash on Twitter and her behaviour has been disgraceful to say the least. People have been giving her money who can ill afford it and she has no issue taking it from them.

Wouldn't he need to be, you know, lodging in the family home and being a financial drain, to be considered a cocklodger?

A bloke who is not living in the family home but paying all the bills for that home would seem to be more of an anti-cocklodger.
