When the stakes are this high doesn't it make more sense to hear our story from us?

A shit one though according to her haters - apart from when they're accusing her of being fake, then she's an Oscar-worthy actress Hmm

If she was a good actress, her stories would be a lot more believable. Clearly they’re not, hence why she’s so unpopular.

username8888 · 04/12/2022 12:41

@lemmein But she is an actress and totally fake. Certainly not oscar winning. She has a tiny repertoire... insanely loved up, poor little me with fake tears and gushing lady of the manor.

She grossly overestimated her intelligence, acting ability and humanitarianism. Pretending to be a feminist while slut shaming her sister and denigrating other actresses with suitcases. She is a very dislikeable person.

BessieSurtees · 04/12/2022 12:45

When someone says the stakes are high they mean they are at risk of losing a lot, for her it is income and fame.

Meghan left Harry when she went to Vancouver, she knew she would not be returning to the U.K. He had to follow her or be without her. I’m not suggesting it was without reason as we don’t know what went on behind closed doors.

She is ambitious, she is an actress, she has a record of using people and dropping them, she has outright lied and she now has all of the power in that relationship. And they need the money.

WatchoRulo · 04/12/2022 00:29

"Why did you want to make this documentary?"

Because Netflix offered us a pile of cash.

Now that is probably the most honest reply Meghan and Harry have given.

At least they acknowledge it's all about the money , Honey.

Oh wait... They didn't say that?

They just ''Wanted to tell their truth?''

70billionthnamechange · 04/12/2022 12:49

So pathetic how many people are still so obsessed with talking about them. Utterly utterly bizarre

Gilmorehill · 04/12/2022 12:50

Online stories are saying that H and M are going to have a go at Brits. I sincerely hope that is bullshit.

BlackFriday · 04/12/2022 12:51

Meghan is holding all the cards in this relationship. I don't think that is very healthy.
If they want UK-funded security, they need to live in the UK. They want to live in the US - fine, they pay.
I too have no clue what these "stakes" are. It can't be about death threats, surely, as letting cameras into your daily lives with the knowledge that brings would only increase the risk?

Stunningscreamer · 04/12/2022 12:55

OMG not another thread about MM and PH. You people are obsessed.

MNHQ Please have a separate topic about this so we don't have to see all these threads.

diddl · 04/12/2022 12:55

God lord, take that back! Had Charles never married and had kids we’d be looking at King Andrew (should he out live Charles), followed by Queen Beatrice on his death followed by Queen Sienna!

Well quite.

Although had Beatrice been brought up as an heir she would have been a working Royal I should think.

Maybe Andrew would have had more of a role & not floundered around as much?

Who knows?

lemmein · 04/12/2022 12:56

She's 'so unpopular' because people are incapable of independent thought. 99% of this thread is straight out of the Daily Mail. Every thread should come with a Sussex Bingo Card - there's lots already been said on this one, you're all doing so well.

Every.single.thread:

'She had a lot of goodwill at the wedding'

'I thought she was a breath of fresh air'

'Nobody was racist towards her'

'Why can't they just go away? Nobody is interested!' -this one always makes me laugh on a 'harry & Meghan thread PART 243115' 😅

The faux, patronising empathy 'oh if only she'd get therapy'

'She's just jealous of Kate'

'She didn't like not being no1'

'Why should we pay for their security? Yes we want a RF, yes we agree with an hereditary system - but if they don't want to play the game fuck 'em, let them die!'

If the Daily Mail loved her tomorrow, you all would too - and if anything tragic happened to either of them you'd all be posting 'omg, if only they had security 😫'

Ridiculous people!

They could just move them to the Royal Family topic, that'll make their little heads explode!

'THEY ARE NOT ROYALS!!! 😡'

😆

Online stories are saying that H and M are going to have a go at Brits. I sincerely hope that is bullshit.

I read that too, but what on earth could they gain from that? I presume it could only mean that their intended audience is Americans/the wider world and they are cutting loose Britain and everything it stands for. And presumably they want the world to agree that the UK - ALL of us, by the way, including their fans and defenders here - are racist, toxic bullies.
That makes me very angry.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 04/12/2022 13:01

They could just move them to the Royal Family topic ...

Errr - don't want to spoil it for you, but apart from this one all the other trending threads about H&M are in the RF topic

Still a fact though.

AngeloMysterioso · 04/12/2022 12:23

The stakes would be much lower if only they’d shut up and piss off… but no, they have to keep shoving themselves in front of cameras and microphones, bitching and whining non stop.

😀

KTheGrey · 04/12/2022 13:08

Meghan is less relevant to me than an ordinary non Royal non actress who's having difficulties in her relationship or her life. The stakes for me are Zero.

lemmein · 04/12/2022 13:10

Still a fact though.

Well yes, thanks for that Wiki Hmm

StolenCookie · 04/12/2022 13:13

Completely agree. The constant wailing of “just go away no one cares!” and yet people genuinely are obsessed with their every move and criticising them.

Also - none of you are being forced to watch this documentary! You know what happens when the public genuinely loses interest in a public figure? The deals dry up. It becomes “what happened to so and so?” and they fade into obscurity. No chance with H & M as, besides their genuine fans, you lot are like rabid dogs who can’t get enough!

Sparklypant · 04/12/2022 13:13

I really don’t think this constant attacking the royal family does anything to make them safer,I can’t lie, it’s just very publicity seeking and divisive.

in addition as much as they lost Met security Charles was happy to continue to pay their security personally. He stopped when they started attacking and monetising their titles.

clearly whatever is coming next is going to be bad , I think all titles will be removed from them, he and his kids will not be princes/princess and the palace will put out a statement saying they love them, wish them well but they will now live their live as private citizens.

that will be in part why harry was supposedly trying to get Netflix and the publishers to remove large swathes of content.

come feb he will be plain old harry Windsor.

Yeah but that’s just because it’s outrageous and gossipy. No more no less. When habe we ever seen someone so close to the throne, monetise their titles and sell stories on the royals like this.

dont worry they will fade into obscurity fast enough, there is only so much trash talk they can sell

the reason people are talking about them is the behaviour is so unedifying and demeaning, so gossipy and outrageous, everyone is agog at it.

AndEverWhoKnew · 04/12/2022 13:19

There are threads about them because their business model relies on it. All scandal hit celebs have paid-for social media teams. Savvy ones pay people to argue both sides to keep content up. Surely everyone realises that? Or are some people really that naive that they think the Sussex business model isn't basically pay-per-post ie they pay for social media; and those posts then impact how much the Sussexes can get paid?
There's some fatigue in the US with a soley victim focused narrative so H&M should actually be pivoting to their reconciliation arc now but their Netflix and book contracts won't let them.

Not bizarre at all. People love car crash tv and car crash lives. It’s human nature and doesn’t really have any deeper meaning than that.

WeWereInParis · 04/12/2022 13:29

I could be wrong, but I think stopping Harry and his children being prince/princess would require an act of parliament and since it doesn't actually make a difference, I doubt anyone wants to spend parliamentary time on it even if they really want the titles removed.
Archie and Lily's children won't be prince/princess so it's not like it will go on endlessly.

limitedperiodonly · 04/12/2022 13:33

I will definitely read what they say if it's juicy gossip about the Royals . If it's stuff about how much they care about mental health I won't.

I'm selectively interested in them but clearly most people on this eight-page thread aren't at all.
