Firstly, I am Jewish, no connection to Israel, I'm not Israeli (not that I need to qualify my post with that) and have lived in the UK all my life.

I'm feeling very scared and scared for my kids, especially reading recent threads like this:

Kanye is very influential and popular with the younger generation and my Jewish children are already getting more racist comments said to their faces without any fear of retribution. I am genuinely scared for their physical safety. Jews shouldn't have to live in fear, its 2022 ffs not the 1930s!

Kanye does not have a cult following for his madness.

His mental issues, the fact that he's bipolar, is well known. He's already been disowned by family, friends and business corporation he had ties.

I very much doubt people who are strangers to Kanye will seek persecute other strangers based incoherent nonsense deriving from a mentally deranged man.

The comparison to Boris is to compare and contrast to someone who does have all their faculties, has significant endorsement from the public and was placed in the highest position of power.

There's no way you've seen a Jewish school with no security. Without exception they have security. I saw a field trip to the Natural History museum with a group of Jewish boys aged 12-13ish and they had a security guard as well as the 2 teachers. I thought it was sad.

Boris Johnson's comments about Muslim women were awful. They are irrelevant to what Kanye is saying, and whether or not he might inspire hate in others.

I am also J and I feel that it is extreme and being massively minimised. It is not an excuse to say that he is nuts because he functions well in all sorts of areas of life with no difficulty.

Not all people in an episode turn extremely anti Semitic. He is using his mental health problems to get away with it when he should be incarcerated by this point.

Israel was established in 1948. it did not coincide with the invention of antisemitism.

Same here, especially when his views could end up inspiring some very dangerous antisemites, it wouldn’t be the first time someone has hero worshipped a dangerous person with a large platform.
