To feel disgusted with myself for just doing this

Itsfridayforgiveyourself · 25/11/2022 19:26

Went to a drive through before, ordered my Dd a happy meal and myself a Big Mac, Mcchicken sandwich, cheeseburger and coke. No idea why, just always wanted to order my favourite things and not do the meal thing. Generally always with Dh and would feel kind a pig in front of him.
I barely ever drink Coke either, literally only when I have a mcds or pizza, which doesn’t sound like it by this thread, but is pretty rare!
Whyyyyy 🙈it wasn’t even that bloody good, not like I imagined it 😫

Unless MccyD's decide that there's money in catering for the celiacs in the population, I will NEVER get to have that experience.

Have a Big Mac, two cheese burgers, giant fries, a fillet-o-fish and a McFlurry for me next time, OP. Then go back in the morning for two bacon and two sausage & egg McMuffins, four hashbrowns and a bucket of coffee with a ton of brown sugar. Because I fucking would if I could now that I can't.

You need to move to Europe. Loads of cities have dedicated gluten free McDonald's now. Don't know why they don't do one here.

Geville · 25/11/2022 22:41

I just think that not adding the Apple Pie to your order was an absolute travesty. No need to feel any guilt for all the other stuff, except for not ordering that - cos it’s my favourite! 🤣

fruktsoda · 25/11/2022 22:47

Agree with PP. The only thing you did wrong, OP, was sharing this info with the rest of us and making (some of) us crave some deliciously unhealthy burgers, nuggets, etc. 😉

DancedInClover · 25/11/2022 22:47

If you usually eat healthier than this, as you said you do, why do you need to share this with mumsnet or feel disgusted?

Some of the comments though, no wonder there’s so many fat people. 🤭

Bedtimeforever · 25/11/2022 22:54

Ordered a sharebox of those cheese things. For me. I ate it. I regretted it.

Fun comment! Why does anyone feel the need to share anything??! This is in Chat, a nice light-hearted Friday night thread. But I guess we could all stare at a blank sheet of paper or similar whilst we sup on some gruel.

And eating a bunch of junk food very occasionally doesn’t make you fat, ffs. I’m not fat. Because I don’t eat piles of McDonalds every day. Or even very regularly. I would bet the majority of the PP who have posted similar to OP are not fat. This is highly scientific & in no way unfounded.

WiddlinDiddlin · 25/11/2022 22:56

Loads of people have more than one sandwich at McDonalds, my sister often orders a double cheeseburger and a chicken one or whatever special burger they have on, and chicken selects!

I've gone right off all their burgers (found a huge disgusting lump of bacon fat on my burger, really big thick bit, barely cooked, bleurgh) but I will get two lots of whatever cheese things, fries and a pie.

Just get what YOU like. Then move on, theres no point beating yourself up about calories you've already consumed!

My guilty pleasure is my secret once a week drive-through (plastic) cheese and bacon flatbread. I am a vegetarian. DC1 would be soooo disappointed. Grin

You aren’t vegetarian.

But why would your child be disappointed?

No wonder there are so many fat people occasionally eating 1.5 of the recommended portion size, teehee!! I am so tiny and dainty 🥺🥺🥺 I could never eat a whole burger to myself 🥺🥺

Get a fucking grip

Doing this once doesn't mean you have disordered eating. In the same way getting drunk once doesn't make you an alcoholic.

No it doesn’t. But it’s the feeling disgusted with yourself after eating that is a bit concerning. If you have a healthy attitude towards eating, you don’t feel guilty.

Wait, why is nobody commenting on the fact her 6 month old had a Happy meal?? Don't get me wrong my kids get plenty of Mcdonalds etc but a happy meal for a 6 month old? Is that even possible?

She said she's NOT 6 months old.

Tbf people usually don't tend to like glass someone after binging on maccies so I can see why

If it was 3 bottles of vodka instead of burgers, the replies would be very different.

No wonder 60% of women in this country are overweight or obese.

Devoutspoken · 26/11/2022 00:08

Bosanova, very few people glass people after drinking

Potentially around the same numbers that get into fights in McDs…
