To feel disgusted with myself for just doing this

Itsfridayforgiveyourself · 25/11/2022 19:26

Went to a drive through before, ordered my Dd a happy meal and myself a Big Mac, Mcchicken sandwich, cheeseburger and coke. No idea why, just always wanted to order my favourite things and not do the meal thing. Generally always with Dh and would feel kind a pig in front of him.
I barely ever drink Coke either, literally only when I have a mcds or pizza, which doesn’t sound like it by this thread, but is pretty rare!
Whyyyyy 🙈it wasn’t even that bloody good, not like I imagined it 😫

This thread is so funny 😂 🤣😂🤣😂

"I eat this"
"I couldn't manage 1/10 of that'
"I eat it all and weight 6 stone'
'I can't believe you're even allowed to order that'

😂🤣😂🤣😂😂

As a general trend on this forum people have an odd relationship with food. Competitive under eating is what someone called it once. I can't understand how anyone can manage anything more than 3 carrots a day, but the rest of you gluttons carry on.

Lots of the "undereating" sounds like my friend who had bariatric surgery for weightloss.

Tbf there are the other extremes too, but rarer

Merryweather80 · 27/11/2022 08:48

@Imabitbusyatthemoment was this Worcester the Blackpole one? 25 mins we waited. The queue for the drive thru was all over the car park.
I wish a gluten free option was available. But while there isn’t I fill up on milkshakes and mcflurries yesssssssssss!

Ineke · 27/11/2022 09:24

Never a McDonald’s , but have had a veggie sausage roll from Greg’s for a guilty pleasure.

Ineke · 27/11/2022 09:33

Just been on an all inclusive holiday. The amount of food on offer was astronomical, first few sittings ate as much as possible. Gradually became more and more uncomfortable and in the end a more enjoyable approach was to eat only small amounts but enjoyed it far more. It was almost painful to stuff too much food into you, the fact that you have paid for it so might as well eat as much as you can only brings a heavy over indulgent haze over the holiday.

Shanda5 · 27/11/2022 10:04

Wow that it is some order 😆

It was a one off and you've scratched an itch that you obviously had. Don't feel bad! X

Stewball01 · 27/11/2022 12:35

I'm very large but I don't binge.
I could never eat so much. No hamburger but crispy chicken and only one with big chips and a ton of mayonnaise.
Nothing to feel bad about.

DemBonesDemBones · 27/11/2022 12:39

@Ineke oh behave 😆

Photographic evidence? Why? And why were you proud?

A healthy relationship with food means not feeling disgusted and hiding from people ....but it also means not bring ‘proud’.

Get a grip 😂 I was pregnant and ravenous and had never eaten that much before, it was a feat of nature. I didn’t purposely eat to be sick.

food is not shameful. being hungry and pregnant is not shameful. You clearly think it is but I disagree with you completely. Disordered eating is something habitual not a one off moment of hormonal compulsion… It must be so stressful looking at food in such a serious way.

WednesdaysChild11 · 27/11/2022 16:50

😂😂 sounds like you could have been a bit stressed and now you are looking for some relief and just wanted to treat yourself? I went through a similar thing a couple of nights back. I fancied this, this, this and this but they were all quite different food items not from the same place and I was thinking what is the matter with me I'm not usually like this. Could be a stress thing I noticed I had more adrenaline than usual and wasn't feeling calm.

I wouldn't worry. No harm done apart from a shortage of burger baps at McDonald's. 😂😉

Autumn61 · 28/11/2022 03:56

Well it would have been worth the calories if it had been any good ! Unfortunately there is only one way to find out .

MachineBee · 28/11/2022 09:03

Reminds me of a time I once had a meeting out of the office - unusual for that job - and had taken one of my junior team members with me. Meeting went on longer than expected so we stopped at Maccy Ds for lunch. Asked my colleague what he wanted and without kidding a step he said 6! Cheeseburgers and a milkshake. Apparently he had this every day. PS - I had a McChicken meal with Diet Coke.

TheChosenTwo · 28/11/2022 10:44

Yesterday I went out and got my usual 2 hamburgers and regular fries - this thread had made it play on my mind 😂
I enjoyed it immensely but did have some fries left over. Can you buy small fries? Is that what you get in a happy meal? Never occurred to me to see if you can buy small.

Yes you can.

BosaNova · 28/11/2022 13:50

I have to admit, I thought the bit about being allowed to buy small fries was a joke?

potniatheron · 28/11/2022 13:50

I'm pretty flabbergasted that anyone would go to Maccy D's and not get fries - they're utterly delicious!

YorkshireMom · 28/11/2022 13:53

Honeynutcheerios · 25/11/2022 19:30

I always do this. If you’re going to do McDonald’s you may as well fuck it and do it right - chicken sandwich, triple cheeseburger, snack nuggets or selects, fries 😆

That’s my exact order when we occasionally have it! If you get a good one it’s food of the gods

TheChosenTwo · 28/11/2022 14:03

@BosaNova not a joke 😂 after 2 hamburgers a small fries would probably be perfect! I binned some of the regular ones yesterday…
in case you think I’m being a competitive under eater have no fear, the other day I ate one of those large bars of cadburys caramel all to my self, one of those ‘sharing’ bars, shared with me, myself and I 🥳

Devoutspoken · 28/11/2022 14:30

So if eating till you're sick is OK, is drinking till you puke also acceptable?

Watch out, OP – it’s a slippy slope from three McDonald’s sandwiches and a Coke to rolling inebriated in the gutter, heaving out a fountain of Special Brew.

AllOfThemWitches · 28/11/2022 15:40

Just coming back to say that I'm planning on going McDonald's tomorrow and will probably have AT LEAST a triple cheeseburger and an entire share box of cheese melt dippers. Diet coke though, obviously.

Badgirlriri · 28/11/2022 15:58

I’m a huge McDonald’s fan, the fries are my favourite.
but I genuinely didn’t realise people order THREE burgers (or more from some of these stories!) for themselves.
I’m not skinny but just one Big Mac fills me up. So gluttonous!

Choconut · 28/11/2022 16:02

I'm always hungry after a Maccy D's, I thought it was from eating nutritionally void food, turns out I just needed to triple my order :-D

zingally · 28/11/2022 16:35

Sounds lush! I'd do a chicken sandwich, a large chocolate milkshake, and some nuggets with curry sauce!

Occasionally, yeah.
