Beautiful! I've stayed in an airbnb on that same road and we drove past that house. It's seriously gorgeous

minipie · 18/11/2022 10:01

Pretty, but not the dream house for me. Wouldn’t want to have to drive to get anywhere and the ceilings aren’t high enough.

<picky>

I’m exhausted just looking at it by the amount of cleaning and maintenance it needs. Even if you pay someone else, it’s a full time job just organising what needs doing.

Beautiful though!

Yep, this. Pretty but impractical even in dreams

Lovely home, nightmare location. Seems like you'd need to drive for miles and miles just for shopping. I don't do countryside.

Same here. Where I live I have most everyday essentials within walking distance!

Suzi888 · 18/11/2022 10:07

I don’t like the kitchen. At all. Or that weird room with a chair and fire place- odd.

Amazing from the outside, apart from all that ivy.

So picky…. Luckily I’ll never have to worry 🤣as I don’t have 4.5 million lol.

It would have been a lovely house once. When it had original features and character that someone has stripped out.

GreenBooks · 18/11/2022 10:10

I live in London and this looks cheap to me! (Not for my budget I should add!!) You can only get a terrace round here for that price!

Loved a walled garden 😍

encantorerun · 18/11/2022 10:22

Oooooh I dunno, looks like it would take an age to clean.....imagine the TOMM method on this 😂

This. I was excited by the exterior but the inside is just so bland and soulless.

MorrisZapp · 18/11/2022 10:28

Utterly stunning. Pop it in Edinburgh with a bus stop and a Sainsbury's on hand and I'll pay top dollar.

Twospaniels · 18/11/2022 10:40

It is gorgeous, but lacks stabling. However, if I had that much money to buy it I’m sure I would be able to afford to build stables and horse proof the paddocks.

Whatsleftnow · 18/11/2022 10:46

It’s lovely. But my dream house is small enough to manage and maintain by myself. If I have to employ help, I may as well keep going and employ a small army and a housekeeper and butler to oversee them all. Anything in between is just a pain in the neck.

CornishGem1975 · 18/11/2022 10:53

It's my dream house too but I'd like a bigger kitchen and a roof over the swimming pool 😁

CurzonDax · 18/11/2022 10:54

Nah, it's a bit small for me. I'd need at least an extra two dressing rooms for it to be worth my while ... 😎😂

ShakeYourFeathers · 18/11/2022 13:02

Can we all chip in a quid and use it as the mumsnet retreat???

I especially love the pool and the wine cellar

kindlyensure · 18/11/2022 13:27

is it your house, @Bucketheadbucketbum? Coz you have kind of dumped and ran?

Nah, it would last two weeks before there was a missive fight over christmas eve boxes, benefits or toilet brushes and a murder was committed. It would never work!
