About 250 calories per fish finger, so 4 would be 1,000 cslories, plus chips and beans and you are up to an adult daily recommended intake.

I have 4

As many as you can fit in without vomiting is the correct adult portion. Anyone eating under 10 in a session is weak.

You. I want to party with you.

Paq · 17/11/2022 18:48

Birds Eye says 4 for an adult and looking at the nutritional value they are surprisingly low in calories.

NiceParkingSpotRitaThanksJanet · 17/11/2022 18:49

My one year old just had two!

Needmorelego · 17/11/2022 18:50

I have been known to eat an entire pack of 10 in one go 😳
In my defense.....just the fish fingers. Nothing with them. Literally just 10 fish fingers.
It's the best meal ever.

Outsideworld · 17/11/2022 18:50

I once texted my then teenage (skinny as a rake) ds how many fishfingers he would like with his mashed potatoes. His reply was ’How many are there in the package?’ I said 30. He said ’Ok, I’ll have that then thanks.’

No, he didn’t get 30..

There are 70 calories in a fish finger you lunatic.

user1471434829 · 17/11/2022 18:50

I have 4, I would prefer 5 but try and restrain myself!

Haycorns4Piglet · 17/11/2022 18:50

2-3 for a child, 4 for an adult or teen. I'd expect adults to fill up with more veg.

What fish fingers are you eating? Aren't they about 60 cals?

starfishmummy · 17/11/2022 18:50

There are 10 in a pack, so dh and I would eat 5 each

adriftabroad · 17/11/2022 18:50

With salad and beans/chips/peas I would have 2.

Teen DD 4.

LizzieSiddal · 17/11/2022 18:50

My one year old baby has just eaten two fish fingers ffs.

A one year old needs a huge amount of calories as they’re growing so much. I too would give a one year old two.
As a grown woman I’d have three. I can’t understand how anyone can eat 5 plus chips.

Silverpossum · 17/11/2022 18:50

I'd say min 5 for an adult with chips and beans

Runestone · 17/11/2022 18:51

3-5

Personally I would have 3, though

Honeynutcheerios · 17/11/2022 18:51

The thing is it’s wrong to just not make the entire packet. The question is how many packets.

if I’m making them for my 2 children who will eat 3/4 each (they are 2 and 4), I will have to make 2 packets because otherwise there are only 2-4 left over for DH and I to snack on.

Proamble · 17/11/2022 18:51

We buy the massive ones, they come 6 in a pack. I like three in a sandwich with rocket and garlic mayonnaise.

Theres not even 250 calories in a battered fish fillet from the supermarket freezer...

Needmorelego · 17/11/2022 18:51

You get 3 in a McDonald's happy meal. I have been known to buy 2 happy meals for myself but in the second one get cucumber slices instead of fries. So 6 fingers, feeble amount of fries and some cucumber. Not bad really.

Anoisagusaris · 17/11/2022 18:52

Fish fingers are minuscule these days.

Crackof · 17/11/2022 18:52

However many you want is right. If they're miniscule then 5, if they're massive then 3? I usually have 4 decent ones.

NotQuiteUsual · 17/11/2022 18:53

Honeynutcheerios · 17/11/2022 18:48

Fish finger party at mine. I'll get us an Asda own brand 30 pack each and a pack of potato waffles while I'm at it.

ILIWYS · 17/11/2022 18:53

I'd only have 3 or 4 with chips and beans (and I'm generally quite greedy)

Herejustforthisone · 17/11/2022 18:53

I have two 😬

mrsm43s · 17/11/2022 18:53

My default would be to cook 2 for a young child and 3-4 for an older child or adult. Served probably with chips and peas. I can see how a growing teen or a manual worker might need more, but I think in our house we'd probably load up with the chips rather than adding extra fishfingers to add extra bulk. 4 is the perfect serving in a fish finger sandwich (with tartare sauce), as they fit side by side just perfectly on a slice of cheap white bread!
