Gerron that sandwich looks too pretty to eat! I must admit, I thought some oft the fishfingers looked less orange than I'm used to and now see that they're covered in gold leaf. I would take that off, it gives them a mouldy hue. I'd have some extra violets instead.

Haven’t read the thread. The answer is: all the fish fingers that are available. Folded into thick slices of white bread with too much salt.

I think they are smaller than they used to be. I remember having 2 at primary school age and then 3 as a teen.

A primary school child's portion is three fish fingers. My five year old just requested four with beans for her dinner. I would do five or six for an adult.

My 5 year old is served 3 but rarely eats them all. I would have 4, my husband 6. I'm not a small lady either!

Fish fingers are not adult food.

I think 3 fish fingers or more than is hardly greedy.

8 for an adult male (in our household they're all lean but over 6' tall). 4-6 for a growing tween / teen.
2-3 for me, lol.
I used to be accused of being mean by a friend of DS - age about 8 - for not letting him have at least 10, because that was the "normal" portion in his house. I replied that in that case he could have a second dinner when he got home as I didn't have any more (true).
