They've shrunk!! I'd say 5 or 6 now for sure

Blossomtoes · 17/11/2022 18:43

They’re filth. No adult should touch them.

Seriously - four.

Yarrawonga · 17/11/2022 18:43

3-4

ShamedBySiri · 17/11/2022 18:45

I generally have 3 but always want 4 and if no one was looking I'd really like 6.

A bit like Jaffa cakes.....

antelopevalley · 17/11/2022 18:45

Three for adult, 2 for child, 4 for teenager.

Slig · 17/11/2022 18:45

Grey23 · 17/11/2022 18:29

Gosh, one feeds three of us with leftovers.

@Grey23 omg how wasteful! Don't you make soup with the crumbs. That's at least another 2 meals!

Loving the thread OP BTW!

IlleIllaIllud · 17/11/2022 18:45

With chips and beans, 2.

Favouritefruits · 17/11/2022 18:46

5, half a packet no way would I have three, my reception age child has two.

AdoraBell · 17/11/2022 18:46

For me 3 would be fine, DH would an entire packet if left to his own devices. I would say 5 for him.

For a child it would depend on the age and activity levels.

None, if you’re that naughty MumsNet dinner lady.

upinastar · 17/11/2022 18:46

I have 3 and I give my teen sons 3 each too. I feel like I should be giving them more now, they don't ask for more though. Maybe I'm just rubbish at cooking fish fingers and they don't want more 😅

TortugaRumCakeQueen · 17/11/2022 18:46

I'd have 4. My son had 7 from a very young age!

NotQuiteUsual · 17/11/2022 18:46

As many as you can fit in without vomiting is the correct adult portion. Anyone eating under 10 in a session is weak.

SeenYourArse · 17/11/2022 18:47

I’d have 3 or 4 my DH would be given the same but would happily eat 6 if I served him that many 🙄 DS6 would get 3 and DS3 would get 2

CheapWine · 17/11/2022 18:47

I’m very greedy and I wouldn’t have more than four tbh.

walkinwardrobe · 17/11/2022 18:47

Well I'd eat 6-8 with other stuff. My bmi is 19/20 so I 'm far from overweight.
People who use words like greedy should be cautious if around young impressionable people.

IlleIllaIllud · 17/11/2022 18:47

And what about sausages, while we're at it? If chips and beans are involved, I'd say two of those, too. 1.5 if they're very fat ones. Or possibly 3 if they're chipolatas.

fannyfartlet · 17/11/2022 18:47

Gymrabbit · 17/11/2022 18:18

With chips and beans I’d have 3 and I’m both overweight and a bit piggy.

anymore is massively greedy.

I have 5 and I'm not overweight or greedy.

Pixiedust1234 · 17/11/2022 18:48

3 with chips and beans but 4 in a sandwich. It really does depend on how much else is with them.

Tinymushroom · 17/11/2022 18:48

I’d have 4. Possibly 5 in a sandwich, if it’s big bread

Honeynutcheerios · 17/11/2022 18:48

I’m 8 and a half stone, perfectly normal re food and I would comfortably eat 5+

I am referencing weight because these threads where everyone pretends they can barely nibble half a fish finger make me laugh massively.

Eating more than half a fish finger doesn’t make you fat. I honestly am so glad I am not friends with some of the people on here - you sound as fun as a wet fart.

give me the people who get 20 chicken nuggets at McDonald’s as snack nuggets/a side any day!

Same as you but it's not piggy to have more but I wouldn't. A box wouldn't go far if you eat more.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 17/11/2022 18:48

Depends on the size of the finger - some are a bit mean - but 4/5
