Bloody hell, I would have said two was enough!

🤣🤣 I'm sure DH would be thrilled if when he cooked fish fingers I stooped him at 2 🙄.

5 for an adult!

4 fish fingers = 440 calories, 1/3 of a normal adult female caloric daily intake, I’d say you are overeating.
Unless you all work at the docks”

what? On what planet is the normal female daily calorific intake 1,320? I’d lose 3/4lb a week on that (nearly 60, 5ft 8)

Interesting… I limit to 1200 per day and just about maintain (actually trying to lose - GP suggests dropping to 1000 but I think that will be hard).

I always serve then with mash and peas or cabbage, or with cheesy pasta. 2 for a toddler, 3 for primary school age child, 4 for a teenager or adult male, 2 for me.

SallyWD · 17/11/2022 20:19

I'm surprised many people have 6! I always have 3 and I have a very hearty appetite. I might start having more then...

CaptaNoctem · 17/11/2022 20:19

The opposite of salad is processed crap, according to the poster’s response to my comment

Try re- reading my post. I said none of that.

Maybe you need to work on your comprehension skills?

Gosh, one feeds three of us with leftovers.

😂

Adult women = toddlers.

hidingmyusername · 17/11/2022 20:20

Depends on the fish finger.

Assuming with chips and peas/beans

Frozen value ones, 6
Waitrose fish counter ones 2-3 max

Ina sandwich with fat fresh cut bread - 4
In precut white loaf 5

2 is a toddler portion. In fact the toddlers i know would want 3. And chips.

I love fish fingers 😂 and im not an overeater

Nevermind91 · 17/11/2022 20:20

Five for me, please, in nice soft bread. Sprinkling of salt and a thin layer of piccalilli.

AloysiusBear · 17/11/2022 20:21

Id say 3, 4 if they are birds eye type frozen ones that are quite small & thin vs the fresh kind in the fridges.

But tbh i wouldn't eat fish fingers - I'd buy some sort of breaded or battered fillet instead as the actual ratio of fish in a finger is sod all.

Here come the competitive undereaters. Ffs!

It's not competitive undereating when the only reason they eat only 2 or 3 is the rest of the plate loaded with chips and beans😂

RuthW · 17/11/2022 20:21

Half a pack per adult, so 5 our house.

bellac11 · 17/11/2022 19:16

Ive heard of someone who puts brown sauce on their fish fingers.

I kept my distance from them

You did right 😂. What is the world coming too…

DeoForty · 17/11/2022 20:22

Three for an adult, two for a child. That's not to say I couldn't eat more.

Honeynutcheerios · 17/11/2022 20:16

I like you on all the threads

I will be honest. This thread made my mind up on what I was having for tea. I normally have 4, but thought 'what the hell!'

Honeynutcheerios · 17/11/2022 20:22

CaptaNoctem · 17/11/2022 20:04

Really? I happen to like salad far more than I like processed foods. I also like the homemade dressing and relishes I have with it!

The implication of your statement is that the alternative to salad is processed food!

I couldn't possibly have a whole fish finger to myself, any more than half and I'd be sick with self-loathing. Am I doing this right?

@bellac11 what did I just say, now piccalilli!!!😬

TrickorTreacle · 17/11/2022 20:24

Last time I checked, fish fingers came in packs of 12. This implies a portion is 3, but I would be happy to eat 4 with chips and baked beans.

So 3 or 4 is my answer.

Anything like 6 would be substantial with chips+beans, but 6 by themselves would be too samey and not substantial enough.

userxx · 17/11/2022 20:25

4 on a sandwich.

Captain Birdseye himself says it's 4. You can't argue with the Captain!

HamzasHairnet · 17/11/2022 20:26

We had FF for tea tonight and had 4 each with chips and peas.

If you're making one anyway, I’ll have one exactly like that!

Oh my, tinkly laugh I'm so impressed you can even begin eating one of those things! I just have to smell one and I'm laid up on the couch for days, clutching my swollen belly (size 6, normally) in over-stuffed agony! Hahaha!

Caramelsmadfuzzytail · 17/11/2022 20:30

I have 10. Dunked in mayonnaise. I dont have anything else with them.
My ds had so many when he was tiny that now as a teen he won't eat them at all.
