4 fish fingers = 440 calories, 1/3 of a normal adult female caloric daily intake, I’d say you are overeating.
Unless you all work at the docks…

4 birds eye cod fish fingers are 260 calories. It says on the front of the box. I eat 5. Perfectly reasonable for a non-dock-worker.

Bestcatmum · 17/11/2022 19:21

The whole packet.

Boooooot · 17/11/2022 19:22

Well sainsburys fish fingers are 53 calories each and I had 6 which is a grand total of 300 odd calories.

I eat four Sainsburys fresh fishfingers but could easily eat all 6 of them . I usually have large tin of beans ( Heinz) .
Its my favourite fast food after a busy shift as a nurse.

Twiglets1 · 17/11/2022 19:22

Captain Birdseye ( or similar size) - I would have 4 fish fingers per adult plus chips & beans or peas 😋

SayyestoJRM · 17/11/2022 19:22

The whole packet for me if it's an 8 or 10 pack.

Riverlee · 17/11/2022 19:22

2-3.

Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia · 17/11/2022 19:23

I'd have 2-3 depending on how big they are & how many are in the pack. DD10 would easily eat 4, DH would consider it a mere snack if there were less than 6, ideally he'd get at least 8. He's 6'4" typical rugby player build though, & is on his feet all day at work.

They are bullshitting/talking about lunch. No adult eats two fish fingers for their evening meal. And if they do they probably have a mountain of deep fried chips with them then complain to Barbra from weight watchers that they can't understand why they're still 'piggy' when they hardly eat ANYTHING.

Wish I'd read this earlier. You could have had photographic evidence that adults can and do just have 2 fish fingers for an evening meal.

With home made potato wedges and some salad with all the trimmings. Followed by fresh fruit.

Like a PP, the fish is just the protein element of the meal.

We usually have 3 to share. So 1.5 each. We have them with a few beans and a chip, or occasionally 2 chips if we're really hungry. I can't imagine why anyone would want to eat more than that. Massively greedy. No wonder there is such an obesity problem at the moment.

If we have any leftovers, our cats share what is left.

midgetastic · 17/11/2022 19:24

Our sainsburies had no fish fingers last time I went ... traumatic

A few beans? You were lucky. In my day, we had gravel.

Got into a full rage and started reading this comment to DH before I realised the sarcasm 😂

KettrickenSmiled · 17/11/2022 19:25

and some salad with all the trimmings
Is this akin to the famed Mumsnet Massive Salad, or a new departure?

WHAT are the trimmings @CaptaNoctem ?!

Mycatisalwaysangry · 17/11/2022 19:25

Ah well, in that case you are all right. These are the ones I buy

With chips and beans.

4 in a sandwich.

barelyfunctional · 17/11/2022 19:26

2-4 for a child, 4-6 for an adult. More than that for people who do a lot of exercise/physical work

DifferentOne · 17/11/2022 19:26

ArabellaScott · 17/11/2022 19:25

I hope you had something with it! I hear it is nice with salad cream, just a tiny bit though, wouldn't want to massively overeat.

WaddleAway · 17/11/2022 19:26

My children (9, 7 and 3) would have 2. I don’t eat them, but if I did then I’d say 4.

workingeverysingkeday · 17/11/2022 19:26

At least 4 DH would have 6.

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 17/11/2022 19:27

Gymrabbit · 17/11/2022 18:18

With chips and beans I’d have 3 and I’m both overweight and a bit piggy.

anymore is massively greedy.

Except it really isn't.

ArabellaScott · 17/11/2022 19:27

4 fish fingers, 3 baked beans, 2 lettuce leafs and a partridge in a pear tree.

TattiePants · 17/11/2022 19:27

This thread is really making me want a fish finger sandwich! Off to the supermarket in the morning so I can have one for lunch.
